20 de mayo se celebra el Día Mundial de las Abejas

Para crear conciencia sobre la importancia de las Abejas como grandes polinizadores y por consiguiente benefactores del planeta, la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas proclamó el 20 de mayo como Día Mundial de las Abejas. Esta fecha la tomaron por ser el día del bautizo de Anton Janša, (no se conoce su día de nacimiento, solo se tiene su fe de bautismo) pionero en las técnicas modernas de apicultura en su país natal, República de Eslovenia. Antón, además de su trabajo como apicultor, reconoció la habilidad de las abejas para trabajar incansablemente sin necesidad de prestarle mucha atención. El maestro apicultor, Anton Janša, escribió dos libros en idioma alemán, uno de los cuales lleva como título: "Guía completa sobre apicultura" fue publicado en 1775, dos años después de su muerte, ocurrida el 13 de septiembre de 1773. En esa guía se publicó su definición mas notable de la Abejas, concepto que fue tomado como fundamento, por la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas, para proclamar el 20 de mayo como Día Mundial de las Abejas:
"Las abejas son un tipo de mosca, trabajadora, creada por Dios para proporcionar al hombre toda la miel y la cera necesarias. Entre todos los seres de Dios, no hay ninguno que trabaje y sea tan útil para el hombre y que necesite tan poca atención para su mantenimiento como la abeja."

     Este día trae a la memoria la reciente declaración de La Real Sociedad de Geografía de Londres y el Earthwatch Institute al designar oficialmente a las abejas como los animales más importantes del planeta, al considerar que es el único ser vivo que no transporta ningún tipo de patógeno, con lo cual se evita la propagación de epidemias, causadas por hongos, virus o bacterias en humanos.Fuente El Centro de Emprendimiento de Apicultura, de la Universidad Mayor, y la Corporación de Apicultura de Chile demostró que:
alrededor del 70% de la agricultura mundial es posible por las abejas, que favorecen la polinización y reproducción de las plantas, lo cual equivale al 35% de la producción de alimentos. En definitiva, las Abejas son para el planeta lo que el oxígeno para los seres vivos, por esa razón debemos tomar conciencia y cuidarlas. Promover el amor por la naturaleza y la salvación del mundo incluye a estos insectos benefactores de la humanidad.

     En conclusión, la gran familia @hive tiene, cada 20 de mayo, motivos para celebrar, siendo que nuestra plataforma se define como una gran colmena. Y así como las abejas son los insectos mas importantes del planeta también esta plataforma @hive. Sigamos adelante.

To raise awareness about the importance of Bees as great pollinators and therefore benefactors of the planet, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed May 20 as World Bee Day. They took this date because it was the day of the christening of Anton Janša, (his day of birth is not known, only his baptismal certificate is known) pioneer in modern beekeeping techniques in his native country, Republic of Slovenia. Antón, in addition to his work as a beekeeper, recognized the ability of bees to work tirelessly without paying much attention to it. The master beekeeper, Anton Janša, wrote two books in the German language, one of which is entitled: "Complete Guide to Beekeeping" was published in 1775, two years after his death on September 13, 1773. In that guide published its most notable definition of Bees, a concept that was taken as a foundation, by the United Nations General Assembly, to proclaim May 20 as World Bee Day:
"Bees are a type of fly, hardworking, created by God to provide man with all the honey and wax he needs. Among all God's beings, there is none who works and is so useful to man and who needs so much little attention to its maintenance like the bee. "

     This day brings to mind the recent declaration of the Royal Society of Geography of London and the Earthwatch Institute officially designating bees as the most important animals on the planet, considering that they are the only living being that does not transport any type of pathogen, which prevents the spread of epidemics, caused by fungi, viruses or bacteria in humans.
