Hello Hivers and dCity players,
Over the last couple of months the SIM value in relation to HIVE has dropped a lot, although in the last few days it has picked up and seems to be around 0.0020 HIVE.

The dollar value of SIM tokens on the other hand has remained almost the same and in fact has only lost $0.00008 since 28 December 2020 when a SIM was worth 0.00490 HIVE and $0.00058.

Despite the SIM/HIVE value loss I continue my investment path on Dcity and continue to pursue my short term goal which is to achieve a production of 3000 SIMs per day.

On my HiveEngine/LeoDex wallet I have 41514,719 SIM which I will use to buy cards from the dCity market to expand my city and to increase my daily SIM production.

My buying strategy

My buying strategy is always the same:

• I buy the cards that produce the most SIM per day and cost the least.
• I exclude cards that produce the negative effect of Crime and cards that have a very negative popularity attribute.

To choose which cards to buy I calculate the SIM INCOME/$ ratio for each card on the dCity market.
The card that has the highest SIM INCOME/$ ratio is my choice because it is the card that for every dollar spent gives me the highest SIM production per day.

In the following image you can see the table I built to calculate the SIM INCOME/$ ratio and the prices and calculations in the table are as of 25 February 2021 at 12:15 pm.

In column 6 is the SIM INCOME/$ ratio using SWAP.HIVE tokens as the payment method.
In column 7 is the SIM INCOME/$ ratio using SIM tokens as the payment method.
In columns 8 and 9 I have calculated the SIM INCOME/$ ratio after tax. Today 21 February 2021 the tax is 72.2%.

Note: In the spreadsheet I did not consider the effect of the use of technology cards that are able to increase the daily SIM income of specific cards.

The cards that had the best SIM INCOME/$ ratio at 12:15 today were:

• Hotel
• Ad Agency
• Casino
• Gym
• Restaurant

As you can see from the image below the Hotel card has the best SIM INCOME/$ ratio (21.32) without taxes and 5.92 after taxes using SIM tokens as payment method.

After making my choice I can go to the dCity marketplace to buy Hotel cards.

At the time of purchase I noticed that user @desyfit had lowered the price to 934.1 SIM so the purchase is even cheaper for me.
I bought a total of 44 Hotel cards at the price of 934.1 SIM per card, so I spent a total of 41100.4 SIM.

Based on today's HIVE value, 41100.4 SIM cards correspond to a value of 86.31 HIVE.

This is the fourth time in a row that looking at the dCity market I find the Hotel card as the card with the best SIM/INCOME ratio.

How long will it take me to recover my last investment?

In my spreadsheet I have included the calculation of the break-even point for each card.
The time to reach the break-even point depends on the percentage of fees.
In fact, the percentage value of the fees produces a decrease in the same percentage of the SIM production of each card and consequently increases the time needed to recover the cost incurred for the purchase of the cards.
Today 25 February 2021 the taxes are very high and are at 72.2%.

As you can see from the calculations in the next image each Hotel card I have purchased will take 336.04 days to recover the purchase cost incurred and therefore to reach the break-even point.
After 336.04 days it will produce only profits (SIM).
Obviously if taxes decrease, the time needed to reach the break-even point will also decrease, and vice versa, it will increase if taxes increase.

The effects produced on my city

---

I will now show you the effects that the purchase of the 44 hotel cards has had on my city.

Before the purchase of the 44 hotel cards my town had the following statistics:

• SIM production: 1060 SIM per day
• population: 3499
• popularity: 2015

After the purchase of the 44 Hotel cards the statistics have changed:

• SIM production: 1220 SIM per day (+ 160)
• population: 4241 (+ 742)
• popularity: 2235 (+ 220)

Citizens without jobs

---

Before the purchase of the Hotel cards the percentage of citizens without a job was 6.49%.
Despite the fact that 44 Hotel cards need a net workforce (Workers - Population) of 484 (11 * 44) workers the percentage of citizens without work increases to 7.29%.

It may seem a paradoxical situation compared to reality but in the game of dCity popularity produces a population increase that exceeds the total number of workers that the 44 Hotel cards require.

The percentage of citizens out of work comes at a cost in terms of SIM and costs me -62 SIM per day.
To solve this I could sell some cards that have a very high popularity attribute or sell some citizen cards.
I'm still considering what to do...

Conclusion

The value of SIM tokens has decreased in the last couple of months but I'm not worried and I continue to invest in buying cards to enlarge my virtual city.
Over the next few days I will continue to reinvest the SIM my city produces and will stop when my city has a base production (not including the effect of taxes) of 6000 SIM per day.
My current base SIM production is 3281 SIM per day.

Obbiettivo 3000 SIM al giorno

Ciao Hivers e giocatori di dCity,
Negli ultimi due mesi il valore dei SIM rapportato ad HIVE è calato di molto anche se negli ultimi giorni fa registrare una ripresa e sembra assestarsi intorno al valore di 0.0020 HIVE.

Il valore in dollari dei SIM token invece è rimasto quasi uguale e infatti ha perso solo 0,00008$ rispetto al 28 dicembre 2020 quando un SIM valeva 0,00490 HIVE e 0,00058$.

Nonostante la perdita di valore SIM/HIVE io continuo il mio percorso di investimento su Dcity e continuo ad inseguire il mio obbiettivo di breve termine che è di raggiungere una produzione di 3000 SIM al giorno.

Sul mio wallet di HiveEngine/LeoDex ho 41514,719 SIM che utilizzerò per comprare carte dal mercato di dCity per espandere la mia città e per aumentare la mia produzione di SIM giornaliera.

La mia strategia di acquisto

La mia strategia di acquisto è sempre la stessa:

• compro le carte che producono il maggior numero di SIM al giorno e che costano di meno.
• escludo le carte che producono l'effetto negativo del Crimine e le carte che hanno un attributo popolarità molto negativo.

Per scegliere le carte da comprare calcolo il rapporto SIM INCOME/$ per ogni carta presente sul mercato di dCity.
La carta che ha il valore più alto del rapporto SIM INCOME/$ è la mia scelta perchè è la carta che per ogni dollaro speso mi garantisce la maggiore produzione di SIM al giorno.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la tabella che mi sono costruito per calcolare il rapporto SIM INCOME/$ e i prezzi e i calcoli presenti nella tabella sono del 25 febbraio 2021 alle ore 12:15.

Nella colonna 6 c'è il rapporto SIM INCOME/$ utilizzando i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento.
Nella colonna 7 c'è il rapporto SIM INCOME/$ utilizzando i token SIM come metodo di pagamento.
Nelle colonne 8 e 9 ho calcolato il rapporto SIM INCOME/$ al netto delle tasse che oggi 21 febbraio 2021 sono al 72,2%

Note:

• Nel foglio di calcolo non ho considerato l'effetto dell'utilizzo delle carte tecnologiche che sono in grado di aumentare la produzione di SIM giornaliera di specifiche carte.

Le carte che alle 12:15 di oggi avevano il miglior rapporto SIM INCOME/$ erano:

• Hotel
• Ad Agency
• Casino
• Gym
• Restaurant

Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente la carta Hotel ha il miglior rapporto SIM INCOME/$ (21,32) senza considerare le tasse e 5,92 al netto delle tasse usando come metodo di pagamento i token SIM.

Effettuata la mia scelta posso andare sul mercato di dCity per comprare le carte Hotel.

Nel momento dell'acquisto ho notato che l'utente @desyfit ha abbassato il prezzo a 934,1 SIM e quindi l'acquisto è ancora più conveniente per me.
Ho comprato un totale di 44 carte Hotel al prezzo di 934,1 SIM per ogni carta e quindi ho speso in totale 41100,4 SIM.

In base al valore odierno di HIVE, 41100,4 SIM corrispondono al valore di 86,31 HIVE.

E' la quarta volta consecutiva che guardando il mercato di dCity trovo la carta Hotel come la carta dal rapporto SIM/INCOME migliore.

In quanto tempo recupererò il mio ultimo investimento?

---

Nel mio foglio di calcolo ho inserito il calcolo del punto di break-even per ogni carta.
Il tempo per raggiungere il punto di break-even dipende dalla percentuale delle tasse.
Infatti il valore percentuale delle tasse produce una diminuzione nella stessa percentuale della produzione di SIM di ogni carta e di conseguenza incrementa il tempo necessario per recuperare il costo sostenuto per l'acquisto delle carte.
Oggi 25 febbraio 2021 le tasse sono molto alte e sono al 72,2%

Come puoi vedere dai calcoli nell'immagine successiva ogni carta Hotel che ho acquistato richiederà 336,04 giorni per recuperare il costo d'acquisto sostenuto e quindi per raggiungere il punto di break-even.
Dopo 336,04 giorni produrrà solo utili (SIM).
Ovviamente se le tasse diminuiranno, diminuirà anche il tempo necessario per raggiungere il punto di pareggio e, viceversa, aumenterà se le tasse cresceranno.

Gli effetti prodotti sulla mia città

Adesso ti mostro gli effetti che l'acquisto delle 44 carte Hotel ha prodotto sulla mia città.

Prima dell'acquisto delle 44 carte Hotel la mia città aveva le seguenti statistiche:

• produzione SIM: 1060 SIM al giorno
• popolazione: 3499
• popolarità: 2015

Dopo l'acquisto delle 44 carte Hotel le statistiche sono cambiate:

• produzione SIM: 1220 SIM al giorno (+ 160)
• popolazione: 4241 (+ 742)
• popolarità: 2235 (+ 220)

I cittadini senza lavoro

Prima dell'acquisto delle carte Hotel la percentuale di cittadini senza lavoro era del 6,49%.
Nonostante il fatto che 44 carte Hotel hanno bisogno di una forza lavoro netta (Workers - Population) di 484 (11 * 44) lavoratori la percentuale di cittadini senza lavoro aumenta del 7,29%.

Può sembrare una situazione paradossale se confrontata con la realtà ma nel gioco di dCity la popolarità produce un aumento della popolazione che supera il numero totale dei lavoratori che le 44 carte Hotel richiedono.

La percentuale di cittadini senza lavoro ha un costo in termini di SIM e mi costa -62 SIM al giorno.
Per risolvere questa situazione potrei vendere alcuni carte che hanno un attributo popolarità molto alto o vendere alcune carte citizen.
Sto ancora valutando cosa fare...

Il valore dei token SIM è diminuito negli ultimi due mesi ma io non mi preoccupo e continuo ad investire nell'acquisto di carte per ingrandire la mia città virtuale.
Nei prossimi giorni continuerò a reinvestire i SIM che la mia città produce e mi fermerò quando la mia città avrà una produzione di base (senza considerare l'effetto delle tasse) di 6000 SIM al giorno.
La mia produzione di SIM di base attuale è di 3281 SIM.
