[Recensione Film] Super 8

Voilà, un film che mixa la dimestichezza di Spielberg con la visionarietà di Abrams e la bravura spontanea di sei ragazzi prodigio per omaggiare, più o meno visibilmente, mostri sacri del cinema americano (come il papà di E.T.) che ne hanno fatto la storia cominciando a sognare la macchina da presa tra i banchi di scuola.

E chi meglio di quei ragazzi potrebbe ascoltare, comprendere e dare voce al bisogno di aiuto di un alieno imprigionato da troppo tempo, sottoterra? Perché è dentro di loro quell’essere ‘paranormale’ che non riuscirà a venir fuori fino a quando qualcuno, con coraggio, non deciderà di guardarlo dritto negli occhi.

Questo sono gli adolescenti: spiriti immigrati in terre straniere, i nuovi arrivati da fuori città in un borgo di adulti che, a volte, per troppo tempo, scelgono di non avvicinarli e di non conoscerli per paura di riassaporare i ricordi sopiti di quando, anche loro, erano da poco approdati su queste nuove sponde.

Voilà, a film that mixes Spielberg's familiarity with Abrams' vision and the spontaneous skill of six prodigy boys to pay homage, more or less visibly, to sacred monsters of American cinema (like ET's dad) who made history starting dreaming about the camera between the school desks.

And who better than those kids could listen, understand and give voice to the need for help from an alien imprisoned for too long, underground? Because it is within them that 'paranormal' being that will not be able to come out until someone, with courage, decides to look him straight in the eye.

These are the teenagers: immigrant spirits in foreign lands, newcomers from out of town in a village of adults who, for too long, sometimes choose not to approach them and not to know them for fear of re-tasting the dormant memories of when, even they had just landed on these new shores.
