Kraken Financial: La Prima Banca Crypto

Notizia di pochi giorni fa, Kraken, noto Exchange di cryptovalute, ha ottenuto l'autorizzazione nello Stato del Wyoming negli USA, ad aprire la propria banca sul territorio. Si tratta di una vera e propria svolta! Infatti finora nessuno Stato al mondo ha accettato l'associazione tra banca e crypto, anzi le istituzioni hanno finora sempre ignorato ogni possibile analogica tra le due parole, sebbene molte banche stiano studiando la tecnologia blockchain, essendo un nuovo asset finanziario digitale, obsoleto a tutti fino a pochi mesi fa.

La piccola rivoluzione digitale trova un punto di rottura nelle mura ostinate delle istituzioni e speriamo che questo possa innescare un effetto a valanga un po' in tutti i Paesi.

La banca si chiamerà molto probabilmente Kraken Financial e sarà una Special Purpose Depository Institution (SPDI) ossia una banca di custodia dove poter depositare i propri bene affinché siano appunto custoditi in modo sicuro. Oltre agli asset digitali, Kraken Financial potrà anche custodire altre tipologie di asset e gestire operazioni accessorie per conto dei clienti.

Prima di diventare una banca riconosciuta dalla legge, tutti noi conosciamo Kraken come exchange con probabilmente qualche milione di utenti registrati, ed una conoscenza del mercato crypto sicuramente superiore a qualsiasi istituto bancario esistente.

L'incertezza del prodotto e la paura di non saperne gestire gli asset, soprattutto a livello di sicurezza dei wallet, ha probabilmente rallentato l'ingresso delle istituzioni nel seyttt crypto, motivo per cui è anche logico che un exchange sia in prima fila nell'istituzione di banche regolamenrate dalle autorità. Chi più di un exchange può garantire sicurezza ai propri clienti?

Io credo che Kraken Financial aprirà la strada anche ad altri Exchanges, in altri Paesi, perché nessuno vorrà restare indietro in un settore dove i profitti potrebbero crescere esponenzialmente nel giro di poco tempo, soprattutto con l'avvento della prossima Bullrun.

Chi resta indietro ora, avrà più difficoltà a recuperare la distanza con le altre nazioni. Mi aspetto nel corso dei prossimi mesi altri annunci simili anche da parte di altri Exchanges, primo fra tutti Binance.
