First Snowshoe Hike Of The Year, Colli Alti, Solagna - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Also this year I did it!
Last Saturday I took part in a group snowshoe hike on Monte Grappa, in the Colli Alti area in the province of Vicenza and as I imagined it was wonderful!

Anche quest'anno ci sono sono riuscito!
Lo scorso sabato ho partecipato ad una ciaspolata di gruppo sul Monte Grappa, nella località Colli Alti in provincia di Vicenza e come immaginavo è stato meraviglioso!

Like the others in the group I wore the mask for the whole excursion and I must say that the temperature was close to freezing and I wore it without complaining too much.

We were at an altitude of 1300 meters and the landscape was all white, a fairy tale.

Come gli altri del gruppo ho indossato la mascherina per tutta l'escursione e devo dire che la temperatura era vicina allo zero e l'ho indossata senza lamentarmi troppo.

Eravamo a 1300 metri di altitudine e il paesaggio era tutto bianco, una fiaba.

After a few meters I was already used to snowshoes and I immersed myself in the landscape.

Dopo pochi metri ero già abituato alle ciaspole e mi sono immerso spirito e corpo nel paesaggio.

Unfortunately the sky was cloudy and I was afraid that the sunset would be affected.

Purtroppo il cielo era nuvoloso e avevo il timore che il tramonto ne risentisse.

We were not the only ones, next to a group of houses there were a family with children, images that cause me a little nostalgia for my youth.

Non eravamo gli unici, vicino ad un gruppo di case c'erano una famiglia con dei bambini, immagini che mi provocano un po' di nostalgia della mia gioventù.

Two people and a dog walked up the hill, perfect for a nice photo with the three pylons completing the composition.

Due persone e un cane risalivano il colle, perfetti per una bella foto con i tre tralicci a completare la composizione.

The visibility was good, far away illuminated by the sun, I could see the peaks of the Pale di San Martino that I visited last summer!

La visibilità era buona, distante illuminate dal sole, vedevo le cime delle Pale di San Martino che ho visitato la scorsa estate!

How much I love the snow, it puts me in a good mood.
I promised myself to do a snowshoe hike alone or in two people to enjoy nature to the fullest.

Quanto mi piace la neve, mi mette di buon umore.
Mi sono promesso di fare una ciaspolata in solitaria o massimo in due persone per godere al massimo della natura.

It was only half an hour until sunset and luckily in the distance the sky was opening up and starting to be colored with warm tones.

Mancava solo mezzora al tramonto e per fortuna in lontananza il cielo si apriva e cominciava a colorarsi di toni caldi.

We were close to the summit and the sun was setting...we risked losing it!

Ci mancava poco alla vetta e il sole stava tramontando...rischiavamo di perderlo!

When we reached the top we realized that there were still a few minutes left...

Arrivati in cima ci siamo resi conti che mancava ancora qualche minuto...

And here the sky hinted at a pink shade.

Ed ecco che il cielo accennava sfumatura rosa.

In the north, the pink and red were more intense, it is always fascinating to see those colors reflected on the whiteness of the snow.

A nord il colore rosa e rosso erano più intensi, è sempre affascinante vedere quelle tinte riflettersi sul candore della neve.

While enjoying the sunset we decided to continue. What a great feeling to be there.

Mentre ci godevamo il tramonto abbiamo deciso di proseguire. Che belle sensazioni essere lì.

Even if the sunlight was now very light, thanks to the white of the snow we were able to proceed without using the flashlights for at least 40 minutes after sunset.

Anche se la luce del sole ormai illuminava pochissimo, grazie al bianco della neve siamo riusciti a procedere senza usare le le torce elettriche per almeno 40 minuti oltre il calare del sole.

In the background it was now possible to see the lights of the houses...but near the snow, what they told me could be, the tracks of a hare!

Sullo sfondo ormai si riuscivano a scorgere le luci delle abitazioni...invece vicino sulla neve, quelle che mi hanno detto potevano essere, le orme di una lepre!

It was a wonderful experience, I recommend everyone to try this kind of excursions.
It is worth it, you are at peace with the world!
