Intanto stava cominciando a nevicare.

A long time ago, in a distant, distant country, it was always Spring.
Nobody knew exactly where it was or how to get there and, therefore, all the people who lived at that time did not believe at all in the existence of that enchanting place.
Only a few travelers who had lost the main road and some merchants who hoped to have taken a shortcut, every now and then, reached by pure chance the incredible region "out of time" in which they were welcomed and hosted by a courteous and civil population. The few visitors who decided to return to the squalid suburbs from which they came, hardly told their occasional stop, for fear of being considered visionaries or, worse, crazy.
One night, during a violent storm, lightning struck the furniture factory in the largest city in the district. The factory caught fire quickly and in the morning was reduced to nothing but a pile of smoking ashes. But the worst was that all the carpenters working inside the destroyed building lost their jobs and with it their only source of income. After an initial moment of discouragement, the expert carpenters set to work to rebuild the building and resume business. All except the youngest, Giuliano, who, in desperation, was seen walking away alone from the large town in the direction of the forest.
Meanwhile it was starting to snow.
Immersed in his dark thoughts Giuliano had not realized the distance traveled and, regardless of the adverse weather conditions, proceeded along the snowy path to meet a snowstorm that was advancing threateningly.
The unfortunate Giuliano realized too late that the only hope of salvation that remained was to try to drag himself to the nearest house, but in a severe state of hypothermia and half frozen, he passed out at the foot of a quince tree.
A soft blanket of snow had covered him almost completely when he was providentially found by Simonetta's dog. The shrewd animal gave the alarm and rescuers took him to the village where he was medicated and restored. Thanks to the domestic warmth and the care received in the house of the caring nurse, the "thawed" carpenter recovered quickly. Giuliano was not insensitive to Simonetta's kindness and a thousand attentions and when he ardently declared his love to her, she admitted to reciprocating the intense passion. Around Simonetta's house, in which, now completely healed, Giuliano had remained to live, the gardens were always full of flowers and the sun that shone in the sky warmed, without ever burning, their faces and that of their irreproachable neighbors. The harmonious civil coexistence and the mild climate could not simply have been a lucky meteorological coincidence, but arose from the availability towards others and from the so-called "human warmth".
He then understood that it was not in any geographical location, identifiable through the road signs, but it was certainly the mysterious Concordia Village that really exists, but only within a "collective mirage" governed by sincere values such as Honesty , Altruism and Solidarity which are the virtues capable of restoring even the desperate the will to live and trust in the human race.
