made it yesterday night before I went to sleep with just 2 yards. That tells you how fast you can make yours if you have 2 yards too.

Measurements

These are the measurements areas I used for my dress. To make yours just measure areas listed to get your fit.

Shoulder – 15″

Neck – 3.5″

Length/ Circumference

Sleeve length – 5 / 12

Bust – 8/ 34

Waist- 14/ 29

Hip- 23/ 36

Full length of dress -42

cutting and sewing process

Divide the measurements for the hip into 2 for the front block. We are using the hip because it’s the biggest area compared to the bust and waist.
Add extra inches to the hip measurement. Now I have
Fold the fabric into 2 using the hip measurement divided by 4.

On our folded fabric, start from the center front to place the measurements for the neck, bust and hip.

For the back block simply fold your fabric into 2 as well. Next place your front block on the back to get the exact measurement plus 2 inches for the zip.

Also the back neck is higher than the front neck area.

When you cut the front and back block out it should look like this.

Sew the sides together. Add the sleeves and finish the neck line. I added facing to my neck line.

Lastly I added the zip and finished the hem line.
