I have a small problem with my flash, I hope it's not serious, my entry to today's monomad Challenge.

I have all this month working with flash light, first of all to avoid going out to the street to do my street photography, the heat and the sun are unbearable and the truth is I can't resist and I end up with migraine and excessive exhaustion, also I have been obsessed with cactus and macro photography, these are activities that I don't want to be temporary, I want to add them to my everyday photographic activity, because I always learn something new when I do this kind of activities, in fact the last year I bought my flash and the softbox and everything had worked fine until now.

Tengo todo este mes trabajando con luz flash, en primer lugar para evitar salir a la calle a hacer mis fotografías callejeras, el calor y el sol son insoportables y la verdad no resisto y termino con migraña y agotamiento excesivo, además he estado obsesionado con los cactus y la macrofotografía, son actividades que no quiero que sean temporales, quiero añadirlas a mi actividad fotográfica de todos los días, porque siempre aprendo algo nuevo cuando hago este tipo de actividades, de hecho el año pasado compré mis flash y el softbox y todo había funcionado muy bien hasta ahora.

I will leave this image here because I want it to be the cover of my post, but what I really want to talk about is that I have been seeing a failure in my flash, sometimes when I fire it loses sync with my camera at speeds between 1/160 and 1/200, even sometimes at 1/125s, the funny thing is that when I mount it on the hot shoe of my camera, there is no sync failure at any speed, I am limited to 1/200 if I remember correctly and I really don't remember that it has failed me that way.

Pondré esta imagen aquí porque quiero que sea la portada de mi post, pero lo que en verdad quiero platicar es que he estado viendo una falla en mi flash, algunas veces cuando disparo pierde la sincronización con mi cámara en velocidades entre 1/160 y 1/200, incluso algunas veces a 1/125s, lo curioso de todo que cuando lo monto en la zapata de mi cámara, no hay ninguna falla de sincronización a ninguna velocidad, estoy limitado a 1/200 si no recuerdo mal y en verdad no recuerdo que me haya fallado así.

Can you see that dark part in the upper area? Well that's the thing I'm telling you, it's like if I shoot outside the sync speed limits of my camera and instead of having a beautifully lit image, I end up with a picture where the curtain crops a good chunk of the image.

Bueno ese es el error que les digo, es como si disparara fuera de los limites de velocidad de sincronización de mi cámara y en lugar de tener una bella imagen bien iluminada, termino teniendo una fotografía en la que la cortinilla corta un buen pedazo de la imagen.

So a bit worried, I took the flash and mounted it on the hot shoe of the camera and started taking these macro shots to the flower of a rose that I had near to me, as a result it didn't lose sync even once at any speed within my limits, that leads me to think that it's probably the batteries of the transmitter or the receiver, I don't remember when I changed them, so it's probably the cause of the error, and I hope so because it would be the cheapest solution compared to having to buy another flash.

Así que un poco preocupado, tomé el flash y lo monté en la zapata de la cámara y comencé a hacer estas macrofotografías a la flor de una rosa que tenía cerca de mí, como resultado no perdió la sincronización ni una sola vez a ninguna velocidad dentro de mis límites, eso me lleva a pensar que probablemente sean las baterías del trasmisor o del receptor, que no recuerdo cuando las cambié, así que probablemente sea la causa del error, y eso espero porque sería barata la solución comparado con tener que comprar otro flash

Although to be honest, I am checking prices to buy another flash or two if I can this month, the more I go on I feel I need more accessories to get the results I have in mind, but tell me if you have ever had this problem when using an external flash.

Aunque siendo sincero, ando revisando precios para comprar otro flash o dos si es que puedo este mes, mientras más avanzo siento que necesito más accesorios par obtener los resultados que tengo en mente, pero cuéntenme si alguna vez han tenido este problema a la hora de usar un flash externo.
