Bread and coffee photo shoot, my entry to today's Monomad challenge. / Sesión fotografica al pan y café, mi entrada al Monomad challenge de hoy.

Every day I think: hey monster, what are you gonna do today? Because to be honest, there are very few things that we can do that are really new and original, sometimes I worry so about it, that I don't even create content, but other times I say fuck it, and I start to realize what I have in mind without caring if someone else has already done it before, because at the end of the day it will be different because we don't have the same accessories, or editing, we don't have the same problems and therefore our solutions are totally different.

Todos los días pienso: hey monster, qué vas a hacer hoy? Porque siendo sincero, hay muy pocas cosas que podamos hacer y que sean realmente nuevas y originales, algunas veces me preocupo tanto que ni siquiera creo contenido, pero otras veces digo al carajo, y me pongo a realizar lo que tengo en mente sin importarme si alguien más ya lo hizo antes, porque a final de cuentas será diferente porque no contamos con los mismos accesorios, ni edición, tampoco tenemos los mismos problemas y por lo tanto, nuestras soluciones son totalmente diferentes.

A couple of days ago I had in mind to make a few photographs in which the main subjects were bread and coffee, here in Mexico, there are people who pass by selling bread on the street every day, so I waited for one of them to pass by and buy some bread, the problem is that sometimes it comes a little bit damaged because they don't care about the aesthetics of bread, so as a proof, I didn't care too much either.

Hace un par de días tenia en mente realizar unas cuantas fotografías en las que los principales sujetos fueran el pan y el café, aquí en México, hay personas que pasan vendiendo el pan por la calle todos los días, así que esperé a que pasara uno de ellos y compre un poco de pan, el problema es que en algunas ocasiones viene un poco maltratado porque a ellos no les importa la estética del pan, así que como prueba, tampoco a mí me importó demasiado.

That same day I was thinking about February 14th, and since I have planned to work harder on stock photography, I used this heart to check the light and my composition, I know, is quite simple, but I was feeling the light direction.

Ese mismo día estuve pensando en el 14 de febrero, y como tengo pensado trabajar más fuerte sobre la fotografía stock, utilicé este corazón para ir midiendo la luz y mi composición, lo sé, es bastante simple, pero la dirección de la luz comenzaba a gustarme.

Of course I also made some compositions destined to be color photography, but the photos I present here were meant for black and white.

Claro que también realicé algunas composiciones pensadas para ser fotografía en color, pero las fotos que presento aquí fueron pensadas para blanco y negro.

I thought that the image would look better if I put it horizontally, like a landscape photograph. The problem was that my flash, for some strange reason, was shooting with a lower power than it had and these two images were underexposed.

Pensé que se vería mejor la imagen si la pusiera de manera horizontal, como una fotografía de paisaje, el problema fue que mi flash, por alguna extraña razón, disparaba con una potencia inferior a la que lo tenía y estas dos imágenes quedaron subexpuestas.

The next picture was just as I thought, and is the cover image of this post, this is a virtual copy with the colors I will use in the other photographs that will be in color but you will see it in another post once I finish editing what I need.

La siguiente fotografía quedó justo como la pensaba, y es la imagen de portada de este post, esta es una copia virtual con los colores que usaré en las demás fotografías que van a ser a color pero lo verán en otro post ya que termine de editar lo que me falta.

And as I mention stock photography, we all know that the simpler the picture looks the better, so I thought about making this image.

Y como menciono lo de la fotografía stock, todos sabemos que mientras más simple se vea la fotografía es mejor, así que pensé en hacer esta imagen.

I finished that day's session with the following image, after a few hours of work under the flash, the bread looked bad enough, so it was time to end the day and the adventure we went through.

La sesión de ese día la terminé con la siguiente imagen, después de algunas horas de trabajo bajo el flash, el pan ya se veía bastante maltratado, así que era tiempo de dar por terminado el día y la aventura por la que pasamos.
