Watch where you step

The little park near me has some narrow and twisted paths covered in bark chips. It is to prevent weeds and grass growing and keep the paths clean.

Walking around and looking for mushrooms in the grass I didn't expect to find them right in front of me!
On the path.

Poor thing probably didn't last long with all the people walking around.

The first one is a little Inky Cap They grow very fast and don't last long. By the evening it will be dead. But until it looks like a tiny, almost see though umbrella.

The top is white and covered in delicate fluff. The gills are black. As they mature they start to flip exposing the black undersides. They roll up and slowly melt and that's it.
They are done.

There was another one just few steps away which I don't know what it is. Even smaller trying to push though the woody bits.

The first few shots, look so delicate, but, they also look like glass! Don't they?

Wonderful eye you have, Ewa! @ewkaw

Thank you!
They are super delicate! I am always afraid to touch them in case they will just rip apart. They are really cool type.

Look here. :)

Oh!!! My!! God!!

I have to say that is such a uniquely beautiful effect that you were able to capture! You have no idea how jealous I am of you because I can count on my left hand how many mushrooms I come across here. We're just not wet enough!

Superb!

Those are probably the most photogenic ones around. I just shoot them whenever I see any :D
I am still waiting for cooler temps and some rain to catch some more. The summer just doesn't want to end here.

Thanks a gain! <3

Here either! It was 28C and it was considered cooled down. Whete did Autumn go?

I can hardly wait to you get cooler temps in a little bit of rain because you do some amazing mushrooms! Have a great night!

You're not kidding. A gentle breeze might do some damage to these beauties.

Now I'm learning more about mushrooms. I took a huge number of pictures recently but have no real clue about them. Now I know what gills are on a mushroom.

They do look quite alien especially in black and white.

I'm seeing lots of funny shaped and coloured mushrooms popping at my local golf course, I'd love to stop and take some nice zoomed in photos but I'd get some strange looks from my fellow golfers 🤣
