Forgotten verticals

I don’t shoot verticals at all! The professional deformation of the documentary reporter completely knocked out of me the desire to shoot in vertical orientation.

Why did I stop shooting verticals? Binocular vision of a person forms a picture close to the format...not 3:2, but more than 16:9 (this why it format is becoming more and more in demand).

In art and painting, again, the most common aspect ratio is 4:3, which gives the medium film format, digital compact or smartphone camera. But now everything is offtop...about vertical!

You need to have a very good sense of composition to take a picture in vertical orientation. Not all plots can take the vertical.

If you think quickly and simply, then the vertical is needed to capture subjects or objects similar to it in shape.

These can be trees, towers, paths and roads stretching into the distance.

I used to photograph portraits vertically.

I didn’t deliberately give up this orientation of the frame;

I've rummaged through my entire archive over the past ten years and selected the most suitable vertical shots in my opinion.

And I also thought for a long time where in life we ​​can face such a vision. After all, I repeat, a vertical photo is not equal to a person's vision.

But nevertheless, vertically, we can see through some doorway, window...or so a person sees with one eye...narrowed...and what did you think?
