Our Malaysia KFC menu

As @justinparke said, we all from around the world, have a different taste bud, essentially fast food chainstall will adapt their recipe to the locals so they don't lose their business. So, here I am sharing with you my local KFC menu.

The above is not the regualar menu, I believe this is a limited promotion item, called Cereal Cheezy Fries. If you know KFC likes to use their cheese sauce extensively, now the cheese sauce is being use to stick the cereal. I haven't try this before, and think I'm gonna get one on my next visit.

On the LCD display menu, on the left stating 1.60 drinks, those are TOP UP price. Don't you get fooled. Literally if you're going to order a Milo drink, you'll have to TOP UP 1.60 for the drink. But if you're ordering it seperately, you're likely going to pay 3.50.

Nasi Lemak is our thing. I have a post about Nasi Lemak from previous day, so I'm not going to dive into that too much. Just because it's everybody's food, so KFC had to adapt to that, with fried chicken ofcourse. Box meal are quite affordable as well, but I really wish they have the combination of sandwich and porridge, rather than with fried chicken. I really don't feel too comfrotable eating fried chicken early in the morning.

This is the regular menu, I think it's the same around the world when you walk in to any other KFC. Note that the kitchen staff is actually wondering wtf am I taking so damn many photos of their restaurant, am I an officer or something?

I ordered a Ziner Riser with top up for a cup of iced coffee.

I wish I have a better photo for my sandwich. But I guess, during the "situation", everybody should just be grateful to have food on the table. And with that, I say grace and started enjoying my KFC breakfast.

Second portion dedicated to my back to office experience

As the day goes by, people started to look at things differently, and more coming back out and trying to make a living. Virus is scary, but having no money to buy food is on top of that.

image.png

Since we're taking turn, Wednesday is usaully MY DAY. I enjoyed being working alone, with less distraction. I can concentrate and try to make things work. It's not easy since I only go back to office once a week. Things can go really wrong in between when I don't have a printer or a scanner.

image.png

Lunch was rather simple, a piece of curry fish, a curry egg, ladyfinger, a stash of fried potato sticks(shall I call it french fries the indian style?), and ofcourse white rice. Nope, not cheap. RM9 yo.

image.png

Before I realized, sky is turning dark quickly and I had to go back home before the 8pm or I'm risking to get a fine from our brilliant government. When people doesn't stay home for the virus, they will give ticket. Better than collecting tax, don't you think?

image.png

I think my home minister finally started to take me seriously on my recent weight gain and my suspicious heart health become questionable. Dinner is 2 spoon of rice, some minced meat, and half a bowl of herbal soup.

image.png

I have a piece of AngKu, it s traditional beat paste rice cake where people gift during their newborn children's full moon. And that pretty much sums up the day.

Milo and nasi lemak immediately stood out as things we definitely don't have at American KFC's. I should mention though I've lived outside the USA for 10 years, and haven't stepped inside a KFC for many years, actually since before they discontinued the buffet.

Haha, you'll never see an ice white coffee on the menu board in the USA either. I think Malaysian KFCs have a better overall product range. Colonel Sanders needs to travel more!

I think Colonel Sanders did a pretty good job already. I've been to one of the best KFC, which is Bangkok Thailand. I'll try to make another SEA KFC league next time. Now I need to dig back some old photos to see how to make it work. LOL
