The coolest little coffee cart

Good day to you Hivers and hope all's well! Today I'll show you a cool little coffee cart I stopped at on my way home from a bicycle ride. I thought it looked so cool I had to turn around and take a look.

No one at home?

At first when I pulled up it seemed no one was about. This actually isn't uncommon in Thailand or they could be sleeping somewhere behind the cart. While I had a look I heard a voice from behind the bushes and a young guy came out from behind the bushes bring me some cold water. We had a nice chat and I learned he had lost his job for now at a resort and came home to take care of his mother. He showed me all his vintage coffee items from Italy, Germany and USA. He encouraged me to take some photos. My phone was in my back jersey pocket and was a bit steamed up it seems but the blurry outer sections look kind of nice :)

In south Thailand they have a local dialect northerners can't understand much of. They speak fast, shortening words and use many Malay words such as Kopi. In the coffee is cafe.

I really loved the presentation and how pleased he was to show me his items. I was really impressed.

He bought this bicycle off of FB from a foreigner. I also was considering buying this beach cruiser. He's put it to good use!

Some of these are Italian which are quite expensive in Thailand. I'll have to visit again when its not so hot and have another chat. His English was really good and was rocking out to Iron Maiden waiting for sunset so he could eat as its Ramadan and he's Muslim. Ah Phuket. You'll never know what you'll come across.

Thanks and happy Mothers day :) Yes I've concluded I can only drink coffee on rainy days or I get a headache. I drank loads in Poland but here is just too hot for it for me. The smell is heavenly. Thanks and your photos are great too! Enjoy your day also :)

What an unusual mix! That's awesome!

I like the fade technique on your shots, was that just the aperture setting or whatever it is called?

Thanks. I like the way it came out as well. Truthfully it was all accidental so I'm not sure if I pressed some setting or it was steamed up from being in the back of my cycling jersey haha. It was sunny I couldn't see anything. Just press and hope for the best. I'll have to explore my phone camera settings and see if I can replicate it. Yeah Thailand is really interesting how they mix other cultures with their own so easily. I really like that style.

Those Italian coffee pots and gadgets were always expensive (for what they are) even years ago when I was in Italy... It remains a mystery as to why...?!?!?!?

The commercial expresso machines can cost thousands of dollars as well...??? We rented one for our Cafe' in NYC, instead of buying, years ago. The coffee distributorship just charged a little more for the coffee we had to buy exclusively from them, rather than collecting a straight out rental fee.

Hey thanks for the comment! Yes they are quite expensive and apparently they are vintage as well. Vintage is a big thing over here in Thailand. Its not unusual to see some old VWs and other classic cars about. He had some very old coffee hand grinders from abroad as well. Oh and the expensive Italian expresso machines? You can find them in many cafes here. Phuket town especially has loads of fancy cafes. That's not a bad deal to rent one. NYC? Nice. I'm from WDC myself originally.

This really is the coolest coffee cart that I've ever seen.😍
Great images! I read in your comments that you're not sure what setting was used, well the focus of the images came out just right :)

Thanks. I'll take some more pics when I go back for a coffee. Waiting for a rainy day/ Maybe today. Yes I'll try to figure out the setting. Could just be from being in my pocket on a steamy day setting haha

First time I've ever seen a Schwinn-style beach cruiser in SE Asia. I wonder how that bike landed itself in Thailand, very interesting.
