Gan_a is a very complicated topic. In the past, Thailand spent a lot of effort stamping out pop_ies by replacing with another cash crop - strawberries. Mari_uana for medical use is okay. I'm doubtful for recreational usage due to it's addictive effect. Besides, running away or temporary escape via drugs won't solve root cause of problem.

As far as marijuana goes, views differ around the world, but it certainly is a natural plant which has many spiritual, ecological, commercial and medicinal uses. We are here in the Caribbean where marijuana is natural part of daily culture and many within the Hindu and Rastafari communities.
While many Thais can't imagine marijuana legalization being positive, many people in the Caribbean can't imagine not having freedom of the press. We humans come in so many varieties, I think it makes life beautiful.
I tend to shy away from words like "wrong," especially in a situation like this, as they are unproductive and sometimes prove how closed one of the parties can be to conversation.
I'm sorry if I mispoke or offended you in some way, but I wasn't stating any opinions. Marijuana is a part of Caribbean culture, that is true. Thailand does not have freedom of the press, that is true. Many Thais are against the legalization of marijuana, this is true. If you feel any of these statements are inaccurate, please correct me.
I was just giving some examples of humans can see the world very differently, I've spent a good amount of time in Thailand and in the Caribbean, so I can assure you I've seen this all firsthand. Thais and Caribbean people just come from very different realities, neither is right or wrong.
For ASEAN unity, let's not use words like "wrong" when trying to come to an understanding during a disagreement.

Marijuana is a sensitive subject for some people, but don't feel the need to censor yourself on Hive. You won't be getting any less posting rewards from the ASEAN Hive Community as long as you follow the rules, which I think you did in the original posting of this.
