A truly secret ocean spot in Kampot,Cambodia

Today I'll take you to a really secret ocean spot in Kampot, Cambodia. I used to ride my bicycle there through the salt flats and end up at the sea. A very beautiful spot and besides local kids, I've only seen other people there once. Kampot was a great spot where you could ride in any direction almost and find yourself virtually alone in the countryside.

Bokor Mountain is always looming in the background wherever you go in the Kampot area. I loved riding my bicycle up and down the mountain as the roads were made very well without any traffic.

Any turn off of a main road in Cambodia leads you to dirt. This one isn't too bad although rocky in some spots and sandy in others.

Salt flats. Something about salt flats and the reflection of the clouds is just eery. And very very bright on a sunny day.

Some more salt flats. Not often do you see the workers but they have very difficult lives.

Gorgeous photos. That seems like a very peaceful spot. Few people in sight, one can relax and not worry about viruses in the air! 👌

I'd bring my hammock there and just chill for hours. Very peaceful with a cool breeze. Great place...

I can smell the salty air from here. Hope Kampot still looks the same when we can go back.

(Edited)

Hmm the chances are actually better with the economic downturn. However, there might a couple of unfinished Chinese buildings about... Yes three years later looking at some photos I also remember it fondly... Oh and thanks for the reblog as always!
