Today I will return to my garden to tend to my plants and also pick papayas to cook. This August is full of blessings, as my plants are growing more fertile and are already bearing fruit.

First, I will observe the development of my papaya plants. They are growing lush, the leaves are very green, and they are already bearing fruit, even though the stems are not very tall, only as tall as my body.

I have to crouch down to pick the fruit. The fruit I picked is still young. My wife asked me to cook it in a clear soup, so I agreed because young papayas are very delicious cooked. I only picked two, but be careful not to get the sap on my skin, as it will cause itching.

I only picked two, enough for cooking today. Next, I will check on the guava tree, which is still in the same location, the garden behind my house.

The tree is not very tall because I always trim the top so I can still reach it. It's actually been bearing fruit for a while, but now that some are ripe, I'll pick the ripe ones.

I only found three ripe guavas. I'll process these guavas into a delicious and refreshing juice drink.

I'll also pick the cayenne peppers I planted next to this guava tree.

It's an Indonesian tradition to eat spicy food, so it's not delicious without chilies. Almost every dish includes chilies. So, most of us have our own gardens, even if it's just a small one behind the house. I only pick as many chilies as I need for today's cooking. If I need more tomorrow, I just pick them. That's the advantage of having my own garden close to home.

Wow, some of my chilies are already red, which means they're ripe. I have to prioritize picking the red and ripe ones because if they're too red, they'll fall off on their own.

This is the harvest from my garden this morning. I'm very satisfied because enjoying food from my own garden is so delicious, satisfying, and definitely healthier. If the freshness of the fruit is guaranteed, it's immediately picked and cooked. I really enjoy gardening.

Now that we've harvested, I'll take a look at the growth of my small chili seedlings.

This is what my chili seedlings look like. They're still very small, only having two leaves, but you can see they're very fertile and are excellent seeds.

I always water them with clean water so they can grow properly. At this age, I can't fertilize them for fear of scorching and dying. I'm preparing these seedlings for my other garden, and these ones are specifically for my business because there are so many of them, around 1,500, I can't even eat them.

I'm using a paranet for the roof to protect them from the heat of the sun and direct rain. I hope these chili seedlings will thrive and produce abundant fruit after transplanting. I will continue to care for them until harvest time.
