Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a triumph at all levels, from how what was shown about it has been managed to the execution of the video game.

The great success of Breath of the Wild consists in having signed up for the chariot of the open worlds, and having done so understanding its great crossroads, consisting of allying two irreconcilable enemies (freedom and narrative). Both must coexist in a title of these characteristics, it is inevitable. The solution writes a new chapter in the history of video games, because you are not forced to follow a certain order, but it is you who decides.

The best way to define it is that the game structure itself is a puzzle to solve, and you can do it in several ways. Of the regions and races that exist, you always visit the one that most appeals to you. First complete a part of the plot and then go to the next. There is no linearity, but decisions... and the surprising thing is that, whatever you do, the game does not collapse. Hold on like a titan.

The only thing that Zelda: Breath of the Wild asks of you is that you dedicate time to it, reaching points where you will feel that you cannot continue in the story without first having improved your equipment. The game is a set of gears perfectly placed so that the faster you go through the plot, the more difficult it is for you to keep going. The best example is that after a few hours you can face the end of the game ... to die with a crash. Life lesson: the important thing is not the destination, but the great journey you are going to experience. Don't rush the road, enjoy it, because Nintendo has designed a rich environment for you to do so.

The video game is a song to nature. We see animals swarming everywhere: foxes, cows, wild boars, deer, wolves ... You can hunt them for food or let them show you their animations, also inherited from Hayao Miyazaki. At the audiovisual level, Breath of the Wild is an intelligent video game, which takes great advantage of existing technology to generate a huge world but still detailed and full of beauty.

There are many plains, as many forests, even more mountains, a surprising number of villages, lost houses in the middle of nowhere, beautiful ruins ... and the best thing is that each part of the map does not feel like a cut and paste from the others . They all have their own essence, and they even tell you things about what happened in the game.

The extraordinary thing is that, despite their greatness, the systems are coordinated in such a commendable way that you never get frustrated. Apart from teleportation (in key areas), you can take a horse and shorten the travel time noticeably. Going on foot costs more, but in return it allows you to climb mountains, because there are no limits in this game. No invisible walls or tricks that count. The only limitation is as far as your eye can see. If you want, you can climb to the top of a peak and paraglide to navigate a river, or a gorge, or reach a point that you could not otherwise.

This installment is the most breakthrough in the saga. You could spend all the hours you want exploring without advancing anything in the story. However, the plot, when it appears, does so with virulence. Beautiful scenes, some that look like "artworks" in motion. There is drama, there is epic, but it also has color and a sense of humor. The texts in Spanish are absolutely great and the dubbing in Spanish is of high quality, to the point that many times it gives you the feeling of being in front of an animated film.

Zelda has always been the saga of a thousand genres. Here there is exploration, puzzles, combats and so on etcetera that telling you more would be a complete disrespect for your experience. I leave many things in the pipeline, aspects that surprised me, incredible details, and I suppose that aspects that we will not discover until weeks or months, maybe years… Only the perspective of time will bring us closer to the truth, but today The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the most complete and surprising that Nintendo can offer us.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild not only makes history, it becomes a legend. Nintendo's biggest project and its most ambitious foray into open worlds is solved with a triforce of ambition, talent and innovation. Reinvent Zelda by turning each and every one of her conventions upside down, but at the same time performing an exercise of commendable respect towards the core of the saga. It is the largest, freest and most detailed of all. He has talent, passion and a desire to propose things never seen in the industry. A video game that will take a long time until we see something similar. That is unforgettable. What is... legend.
