Desert Combat Gameplay 01-13

Playing the Iwo Jima map I start off on the island defending. Taking an APC I drive over to where the boats are coming in to attempt to capture the island. I park up on a hill and switch to the gunners seat, but the AI starts driving and mess up my shot. I get out of the vehicle and take my sniper rifle and use it to repel the boats coming onto the shore. Since they are all riding without cover I take them out before they have a chance to get to shore sometimes. I switch to a tank and use its machine gun and cannon to take out the boats.

Using the sniper rifle and tank we repel them quite well and have no attempts in captures. They do not get even close to securing a spot, so I reload and see if I can take an airplane when it spawns.

A fighter jet spawns in and I take it. I use its machine guns and rockets to engage the small boats and the larger ship further out in the ocean. I crash my jet and respawn on the island, waiting for another aircraft to spawn I make sure the AI do not take them. I RDM them if I think they may, as they AI love to take the aircraft. They are the worst with the helicopters but okay with planes. It would have been nice if the AI scripts were updated to support AI flying helicopters, but I guess since this game is based on BF1942 there were no helicopters in that game, so makes sense the bots can play with planes but not copters in that case.
