24 years ago I played in the Sega Genesis with my dear cousin Luis Alejandro, we played Street of Rage 2 without stopping, this year the people of Dotemu have brought us the 4th installment to the Playstation 4 and nostalgia has won me, I surrender to this title a classic beat em up brought to the modern era and it works very well.

Hace 24 años jugaba en la Sega Genesis con mi querido primo Luis Alejandro, jugábamos Street of Rage 2 sin parar , este año la gente de Dotemu nos ha traído la 4 entrega a la Playstation 4 y la nostalgia me ha ganado , me rindo ante este título un beat em up clásico traído a la era moderna y funciona muy bien.

La jugabilidad lo es todo en estos títulos, los controles se sienten muy bien, tiene un sistema de combos que exige al jugador, pero no demasiado, se disfruta el sistema de combos, estamos ante lo antiguo con un toque de modernidad no demasiado, en mi opinión han acertado, me recuerda los viejos tiempos, han logrado transmitir ese espíritu, cada personaje tiene sus propias llaves y sus propios Dash los especiales que quitan vida son diferentes y cambian si los combinas con otros ataques.

La calidad gráfica está bastante bien, me parece acertada la animación cartoon que tiene el juego, es la evolución natural de lo que fueron sus predecesoras un ámbito en graficas 3D hubiese arruinado la experiencia , los fondos son muy coloridos muy vivos hay fondos como el del baño en la cárcel, que está lleno de grafitis que impresiona y hay otros como las alcantarillas que no gustan tanto, pero en cuanto los personajes si aciertan en todo tanto los personajes jugables como los villanos gozan de mucho color y personalidad en el diseño.

Lo mejor del juego es lo variado de los villanos, existen de todo tipo y hacen diferentes ataques que te sorprenden , cuando se llena la pantalla de villanos el juego te pone bajo presión, tienen bastantes armas pero me quede esperando algún arma de fuego , sin embargo son variadas las armas a las que puedes acceder , también meten a villanos de entregas anteriores como los gordos que lanzan fuego e innovan con villanos modernos y potentes como las señoras que dan cabezazos, aunque en cuanto a villanos el jefe Shiva se lleva todos los premios en cuanto a diseño escenario y combate, que jefe final de verdad se disfruta bastante el combate.

Lo más criticable del juego es que falto un stage donde te atacaran motorizados como en anteriores títulos de la saga, también en el primer stage un carro se estrella contra la pared lo que sorprende bastante, pensé que habría más de esa interacción con el escenario pero no fue así, la falta de rutas alternativas también se echa de menos en este título.
