SSDs are starting too threaten HDDs in mass data storage.
Specifically, Sabrent just announced
the biggest M.2 SSD in the world, with the capacity of 8TB,
an impressive number for SSDs.

In more detail, the company is expanding their
Rocket Q series, with ‘SB-RKTQ-8TB’.
It's a new type M.2 2280 model, which will use PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. Controller of the disk will be the Sabrent RKT 303 and and in terms of NAND we'll have 3D QLC chips from Micron.

For the time being we dont know, maybe, the most important, the read and write speed and how durable the disc will be. A similar 4TB model from the same company could theoretically reach 3,400 MBps sequential read and 3,000 MBps sequential write. The performance of 8TB disk is expected to be the same and slightly bigger. As for the disk's endurance, the 4TB model was tested for 940 TBW (terabytes written), so we can expect the same levels.

Lastly, we dont know yet about the price. If we consider that the 4TB model was $759.99, then we will be dealing with a respectable four-digit number.
