El día de hoy les presento uno de los mejores videojuegos Retro de la consola Nintendo NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) de su época.
Hablaremos de sus reseñas, jugabilidad, modos de juegos, habilidades y estilos, mencionando también su apartado gráfico.
Greetings friends lovers of the wonderful world of video games and welcome to my post.
Today I present one of the best Retro video games of the Nintendo NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) of its time.
We will talk about its reviews, gameplay, game modes, skills and styles, also mentioning its graphics.
Side Pocket es un videojuego de pool estrenado en 1987.
Recuerdo que en el año 2001, mis familiares hablaban mucho de este increíble juego, puesto que algunos de ellos son Gamers desde esa época.
Cuando yo tenía 3 años observaba como mis tíos y primos se la pasaban horas y horas jugando este increíble juego.
Ya en el 2005 podía jugar en la consola de Nintendo, así que el primer juego al que quise dedicarle un par de horas, así no supiera jugarlo, fue este.
Para comenzar, el juego tiene 4 modalidades de juego.
I Pocket Game: aquí podemos tomar el control de un personaje anónimo donde pasaremos por múltiples pruebas y ciudades para avanzar de nivel.
Training: podemos practicar nuestras jugadas y aprender a como jugar y ver la secuencia de las bolas a las que debemos golpear primero.
II Pocket Game: también el juego tiene su sistema de multijugador, donde podemos enfrentarnos a jugador versus jugador y ver quien logra la mayor cantidad de puntuación en una partida, quien logre obtener más puntos ganara.
9 Ball Game: en esta modalidad de juego podemos crear nuestras propias rondas para jugar en multijugador, donde ganara aquel que logre eliminar las bolas de billar de la mesa, podemos elegir cuantas bolas podemos hacer, podemos elegir entre 9 a 15.
Side Pocket is a pool video game released in 1987.
I remember that in 2001, my relatives talked a lot about this incredible game, since some of them are Gamers since that time.
When I was 3 years old, I watched my uncles and cousins spend hours and hours playing this incredible game.
Already in 2005 I could play on the Nintendo console, so the first game I wanted to dedicate a couple of hours to, even if I didn't know how to play it, was this one.
To begin with, the game has 4 game modes.
I Pocket Game: here we can take control of an anonymous character where we will go through multiple tests and cities to advance to the next level.
Training: we can practice our moves and learn how to play and see the sequence of the balls we must hit first.
II Pocket Game: the game also has its multiplayer system, where we can face player versus player and see who gets the highest score in a game, whoever manages to get more points will win.
9 Ball Game: in this game mode we can create our own rounds to play in multiplayer, where the winner will be the one who manages to remove the billiard balls from the table, we can choose how many balls we can make, we can choose between 9 to 15.
Si lo jugamos en solitario, comenzaremos a jugar en la City Glass, una partida relajada y sobre todo, saber a cuál bola vas a eliminar primero.
If we play it alone, we will start playing in the City Glass, a relaxed game and above all, know which ball you are going to eliminate first.
Este es nuestra mesa, los objetivos que tenemos en los juegos de billar, es hacer que todas las bolas caigan en los agujeros que hay en las esquinas de la mesa y en el medio.
En la parte superior de la imagen podemos observar 3 cosas dentro de unos cuadros de color gris.
El que está en medio, es el indicador de la potencia que podemos hacer para golpear la bola blanca marcada con una moneda de color cobre, si está el lado izquierdo el golpe es débil, si está en medio la fuerza es un poco mayor y si esta del lado derecho el golpe será mucho mayor.
This is our table, the objectives we have in pool games, is to make all the balls fall into the holes in the corners of the table and in the middle.
At the top of the image we can see 3 things inside some gray squares.
The one in the middle is the indicator of the power that we can do to hit the cue ball marked with a copper-colored coin, if it is on the left side the hit is weak, if it is in the middle the force is a little higher and if it is on the right side the hit will be much higher.
En algunas ocaciones, en los agujeros de la mesa aparecerán algunas estrellas.
Si nosotros lanzamos una bola a una de esas estrellas que aparecerán de manera aleatoria en la mesa.
Podremos obtener muchos puntos y posiblemente podemos tener un movimiento adicional.
Occasionally, some stars will appear in the holes of the table.
If we throw a ball at one of these stars that will appear randomly on the table.
We can get a lot of points and possibly we can have an additional move.
Otra de las cosas que tenemos es el indicador de puntuación, donde también nos rebela la cantidad de movimientos que tenemos por nivel.
En algunas ocasiones en este tablero nos mostrará una bola en aleatorio, donde si la eliminamos de la mesa nos darán muchos puntos y movimientos adicionales.
También podemos observar la puntuación que llevamos en nuestra aventura en el juego.
Another thing we have is the score indicator, which also shows us the amount of moves we have per level.
In some occasions in this board it will show us a random ball, where if we eliminate it from the table it will give us many points and additional moves.
We can also observe the score we have in our adventure in the game.
Casa vez que completemos un nivel nos aparecerán un cuadro como el que observaran en la imagen superior de este texto.
Nos mostrara el número de bolas que hemos eliminado, si las eliminamos de forma numérica obtendremos más puntos, donde al final nos mostrara el total que generamos en cada nivel.
When we complete a level we will see a box like the one you can see in the image above this text.
It will show us the number of balls that we have eliminated, if we eliminate them numerically we will obtain more points, where at the end it will show us the total that we generated in each level.
Luego de completar cada nivel también veremos algunas escenas, donde nuestro personaje principal intentara sorprender a una chica.
Al completar muchos niveles lograremos captar su atención.
Incluso nos acompañará en los campeonatos del juego donde los veremos cerca de un coche.
After completing each level we will also see some scenes, where our main character will try to surprise a girl.
By completing many levels we will be able to capture her attention.
He will even accompany us in the championships of the game where we will see them near a car.
Side Pocket también tiene algunos retos para nosotros, como por ejemplo en la imagen que ves en la parte superior de este texto.
En este reto debemos de golpear en el punto exacto para que todas las bolas entren a la vez en cada uno de los agujeros que hay en la mesa.
Otro de los retos que tenemos, es de tratar de que la bola de billar entre en el único agujero que no esté marcado con un "NO"
Y el más complicados de todos, pero a la vez muy divertido, en este reto tendremos muchas copas de cristal en la mesa, donde nuestro objetivo es hacer que la bola de billar blanca golpee las demás sin romper ni una sola copa de vidrio, pero eso no es todo.
También debemos de meter esas bolas de billar en los agujeros de la mesa que no estén marcados con un "NO"
Tenemos que usar mucho la cabeza para poder saber en qué dirección golpearemos la bola de billar, de lo contrario perderemos la partida al momento en que rompamos una copa de cristal
Side Pocket also has some challenges for us, as for example in the image you see at the top of this text.
In this challenge we must hit in the exact point so that all the balls enter at the same time in each of the holes on the table.
Another challenge we have is to try to get the billiard ball into the only hole that is not marked with a "NO".
And the most complicated of all, but at the same time very fun, in this challenge we will have many glass cups on the table, where our goal is to make the white billiard ball hit the others without breaking a single glass cup, but that's not all.
We also have to get those billiard balls into the holes on the table that are not marked with a "NO".
We have to use our heads a lot to be able to know in which direction we will hit the billiard ball, otherwise we will lose the game the moment we break a glass cup.
En todos los niveles cuando nos quede la última bola de billar, tendremos un reto.
El reto consiste en que tenemos que golpear la última bola de billar y hacer que se dirija al agujero que esté marcado con una estrella de color azul.
Una vez que la bola de billar entre en uno de los agujeros marcado con una estrella, obtendremos más puntuación y adquiriremos más oportunidades de seguir jugando en cada nivel.
In all the levels when we have the last billiard ball left, we will have a challenge.
The challenge is that we have to hit the last billiard ball and make it go to the hole that is marked with a blue star.
Once the billiard ball goes into one of the holes marked with a star, we will get more score and we will acquire more opportunities to continue playing in each level.
Y por último, amigos les hablaré sobre el soundtrack del juego.
Este juego tiene un soundtrack muy adictivo que lo hace interesante, ya que transmite mucha relajación, muy ideal para los juegos de este género.
Nos ayuda a concentrarnos, y estoy casi seguro de que más de uno ha tarareado esta canción más de una vez, incluso sin darse cuenta.
Sus gráficos a pesar de ser muy Retro, no le quitan la esencia al juego haciéndolo entretenido, divertido y reflexivo.

And finally, friends I will talk about the soundtrack of the game.
This game has a very addictive soundtrack that makes it interesting, since it transmits a lot of relaxation, very ideal for games of this genre.
It helps us to concentrate, and I'm almost sure that more than one of us has hummed this song more than once, even without realizing it.
Its graphics despite being very Retro, does not take away the essence of the game making it entertaining, fun and thoughtful.

Pool is likely to be timeless. Both IRL and with games. There's probably a hundred pool games out there for both consoles and PC these days. Used to play on my phone through Messenger all the time. It was great.
This game looks good! Looks a lot like it's mostly the graphics that's changing over time and gameplay is staying the same. This reminds me a lot of what I was playing on messenger just with "better" graphics.
