Fifa 08 - Career Mode (DT) - Challenge: Take "Morecambe (Half Star Reputation) from 4th division to 1st Division of the "English League"

Greetings to all those Hiveros who love videogames! Welcome to a new gaming article from me. Today I want to share with you my start of a "CAREER MODE" in "Fifa 08".

Thanks to my experience in this game, I can say that more than a simple career mode, it is a great challenge, since I will be playing with one of the weakest teams in this Fifa. I have taken as a team the "Morecambe", for those times this team was quite weak in terms of architecture and budget, so much so that it was valued at half a star. The challenge that I will be assuming with this team, is to try to take it to the first division of its country, in this case I will be playing in the "English League", in Fifa 08 Morecambe is in the 4th Division so it will be a challenge to take it to the first division.

As I told you before, I know well Fifa 08, despite being an old Fifa of this great saga, it is a game that in my PC can never miss like many other games of my childhood. The truth is that I like it a lot and it is one of my favorite games to pass the time.

I have already started the "Career Mode" and at the beginning I had the possibility to play friendly matches, maximum 4, I took them all with different teams of the same league, at this point it is something important to do, because when we start, we are in the "Transfers" stage and this allows us to have more time to move in the transfer market.

In the transfer market I concentrated on looking for free players, players that can be signed offering a good salary, it is clear that by having a team like "Morecambe", it is difficult that any player wants to come to the team for a decent salary...

Now then! At this point my strategy is to look for free players with a "MED" of 70 and above, offer him a lot of money until I get to sign him, once I get to sign him, immediately put him on my list of transferable players, that is, sell the player I just signed. Maybe it is a bit excessive, but this strategy in this game is fundamental when you are playing with a team with such low resources as "Morecambe".

I applied this strategy and managed to sign two players, as I said before, I had to offer them a good amount in salary and immediately after signing them I put them on my transferable list, after just one game date, I received offers for both and I sold them.

At the beginning I started with only 150.000Eu and thanks to this strategy I was able to increase my capital to a little more than 3.000.000Eu. After applying this strategy in the transfer market, I made a second move, which will help me increase my capital throughout the season that I will be playing, this move deal in the improvement of my stadium manager, this improvement allows my stadium to be much larger and so I can receive better income from tickets. In this improvement I spent a little more than 1.000.000Eu of my budget, but it will be something that I will recover as the season progresses.

While I was applying all those strategies I mentioned, I was also simultaneously playing my first league games, in which I have not done badly at all. I have played 4 games of which I won three and lost one, I must say that for 4th division teams, they make the games very difficult, these teams have very low level players, they tend to complicate more the control of the passes and the movement through the field, adapting to a slow pace of play is quite tedious, but anyway, this is something that I will be able to solve as the season progresses and I can bring better players to the team.

Adding one more point to the adaptation part, I can also say that all this can be more complicated depending on the difficulty that is played, I can honestly say that I play this Fifa quite well and I dominate it to a large extent, I like to play at its highest difficulty level, although right now I only have it in "World Class" mode, The "Legendary" difficulty I have not been able to unlock it, well, it is not that I have not been able to, actually I have not been able to unlock it, but anyway, I always recommend playing at the highest difficulty level, regardless of the Fifa it is, somehow over time this will help the game level to rise.

Some time ago I tried something similar, but I did it with a 3rd division team, I managed to take it to the first division, but I remember that I didn't play that season because the computer I was using at that time was damaged. Afterwards, as time went by, I followed Fifa 08 and I still play it, but I thought that this great challenge would be quite good to bring it and share it with all my colleagues... I will be playing, advancing in this challenge of Fifa 08 that I have imposed myself personally, every time I can I will bring you my progress in the first season of the 4th division of the "English League".
