No Man's Sky ~ a screenshot showcase

I mentioned a couple of days ago that I was giving No Man's Sky another chance and was in the middle of hunting for a suitable planet on which to build my first base.

It took many jumps from system to system, warping here and warping there, when at last I came across a world that ticked all the boxes: didn't eat my protection, grassy, oceanic, trees and plants in abundance, a nice colour scheme, and not toooooo many storm occurences. That last one has been terrible. I appreciate the weather systems they've implemented to spice things up, but almost every planet has terror storms every two minutes and you just can't get things done.

I bypassed many, many radioactive and icy and hellfire and bleak and lifeless worlds before finally getting lucky and finding this.

It took much longer than I expected, and we're gonna be doing it again when we get to our next galaxy! Will be looking for a different planet type next time though. Need a little bit of diversity amongst my main bases. 😉

In the meantime, a screenshot showcase featuring Harclyffe Cove (named after the Cove in Vengeance, Forgotten Prophecy: Book One) and the planet it resides upon! 😁

I love the camera mode built into this game.

More games need a camera mode!!!

I love taking screenshots and this makes it 1000x better. You can easily change angles, go high or low, move the sun's position, adjust fog and cloud density, so many options! It's fantastic.

Hopefully you enjoyed looking at the screenshots as much as I enjoyed taking them. 😆

Until next time,

Thank you for stopping by 🙃❤️

It's nice to find the planet you want. Lush planet you got there, maybe for your next base planet, get yourself some suit upgrades against planets with hot temperatures and find one with hot storms 😄

I'm planning on having a lot of different bases! 😄 I think my next one will be on an idyllic looking frozen planet, and yesss, totally need an evil genius lair near a volcano on a fiery planet. Also an underwater base. 😉

Plenty of different planets for different bases!
Haha of course you would copy needing an underwater base, no doubt partly because who wouldn't, but because you seen mine and that isn't even a recent screenshot. 😂

Mark wants an underwater base xD kind of half on the land, then easing down into the sea, so that'll be fun! Want to see if we can find a giiianntttt lake somewhere, my base on one side, his on the other. Noticed the claim thing is a bit iffy. One of our bases was literally able to be put next to each other, the other needed to be like 1000u away haha.

There are so many possibilities and they have a wide variety to choose from, including the decor.

I just straight up went under a big island thing, then one part go down about 100m to start working on something among the seabed. XD

This looks like a fun exploration game! Loved the landscape photos and it seems there are unique aliens on planets too. Is there any fighting or do you just wander around?

It's very heavily based on exploration and as you get further into it, working out the economy and trading seems to quickly become the main gameplay. Exploration is the focus though.

There are pirates in the game, usually attacking fleets that you can then rescue and sometimes they'll specifically target you too. On the ground, very rarely you'll come across alien creatures that are predators and will attack you, most of the alien creatures are peaceful. There are little robot drones on most planets that protect a few things and can attack you, and if you destroy them then larger, more dangerous robots will be summoned.

I get attacked by random aggressive plants I happen to be walking past more than anything else, haha! 😅

Attacking flora and peaceful fauna! That's something! Haha!

I've been playing Watch Dogs lately. Have you played it? You play as a hacker, part of a group and also vigilantes. You work to take down an orwellian big brother like massive surveillance system. Not bad. I like the story and the characters are fun too.

I haven't, but I have heard of it! 😊 It was one of those games that I looked at for a while, certain that I'd enjoy the story but uncertain if I'd enjoy the gameplay.

I actually like the gameplay of watch dogs 2 way more than the first game. It's fun and intuitive!

I share that with you, many games should take that into account. The graphics look pretty good.
