The beginning of a Colossus era | Shadow of the Colossus
Shadow of the Colossus is one of my favorite games I played on PS2, although it is already available in ps4 and remastered. There were very few games that showed titanic things at that time and since then, we now find giant enemies and huge worlds in a variety of games. Maybe Shadow of the Colossus is not the game that set that pattern but for me it is.

From the beginning the story catches up with you. We start with a young man who wants his girlfriend, or at least it seems that way, to come back to life but to achieve that, he will have to enter a world full of colossal titans that will bring out the best in you as a player.

And without that much detail, we'll go out into the world in search of these titans. It's a pretty wide map and being such big beasts, we'll think we'll see them with the naked eye but we won't. We will help ourselves with a sword that thanks to the light of the sun shows you your way and also, we will have a horse to go through the big areas.

Titans have only one weak point, a shiny seal that you can see (sometimes) and you will have to look for it to be able to lower its life until you manage to kill it, but don't think that it will be easy, these weak points are usually located in places where you will have to manage to climb on the titan and get there. You must climb it by the hairs, areas of their skin, jump from your horse in order, manage as you can to climb.Your character has a limit of resistance so, don't waste moves, go up, attack and rest.

Every Titan is unique and every fight against them will be an experience that will activate all your senses. Whether underwater or in the air, you will have to give your best to beat them. Their designs are phenomenal, in my opinion, they give a mystical touch to the game with a dark approach, which will arouse your intrigue to know more about them.

The game has no additional enemies in the world, it's just you and the giants. Very few animals and secrets but I must say that these elements did not ruin the game as the fun was focused on fighting each titan. But with these elements, the game would be more complete and fun.

Shadow of the Colossus is a game that has set a standard in the world of video games. If you want to live an adventure totally different from what you have played in your life, Shadow of the Colossus is perfect for you. Its music, its design, its history and the epic battles you will see, will make you love it like I do. That's why I give it 10 points and yes, even though it can improve in many aspects, the fun it caused in me many years ago when I played it, it deserves a juicy 10.
