Oceánida | Elite Boss in Genshin Impact | Gameplay

Oceánida, a strange life form formed by water, an elite boss that we will find in Genshin Impact and of vital importance if we want to obtain special materials to raise the rank of our characters.

If you haven't played Genshin Impact yet, all along the map we have available, there are a series of elite bosses that, when killed, we will obtain certain useful materials to raise the rank of our characters. Each one of these bosses, is associated to an element and can really be a headache as it is in the case of Oceánida.

Oceania is a water monster element, but it is different from all the elite bosses you have already faced or will face. Its form as well as the way to attack varies completely and if you are not prepared enough, you will end up finished. Of course, Genshin Impact allows you to play with 3 more characters thanks to its multiplayer and to fight against this boss, I connected with @laloretoyya, @jauregui98 and @gaeljosser to fight Oceánida and get some materials. I recorded all the fight and here I share it with you:

The first thing that you must have present is that Oceánida is of element water and the best ones to fight against it are those characters of element ray. There can be one of support with earth element and one of fire element to cause steam and to cause good damage. When using characters with lightning element, electricity is conducted between all the wet ones and thus can cause area damage. An earth character will generate crystals that allow to create shields that will protect everyone in the team and this is important because, Oceánida performs some attacks that take a lot of life.

How does Oceánida attack? It creates illusions of water in the shape of animals. It can be a frog, a wild boar, squirrels, birds, etc. Each animal has a particular way of attacking and you should pay attention to the patterns for dodging and hitting. Of all the illusions that Oceanida will create, you must be careful of the frogs. Frogs make several attacks and cause a lot of damage so focus on destroying them first and then the other illusions. Birds can be very annoying because they attack from a distance, organize your team so that those who attack from a distance attack them and the rest focus on the land animals.

Another important piece of information you should know is that the battle will take place on a platform that is floating on the water. With the passage of time during the battle, Oceánida goes sinking parts of this platform, reducing the battle field. Don't take too long or you will surely end up swimming over the water or dead.

Where is this boss located? He is located in Liyue, near the village of Chingtse. If you are like me, who has not yet learned the names of the cities on the map, in the following image I show you their location.
