Ubisoft memang menjanjikan grafis yang lebih baik dan juga penambahan arena yang lebih baik untuk seri ini, oleh karena itu mereka mengambil satu tempat di Kepulauan Aurora di Samudra Pasifik yang tentu saja ini sangat jauh dari koordinat titik-titik arena yang menjadi salah satu pengaruhnya. yaitu perubahan cuaca untuk karakter yang kita mainkan

Petualangan Ghost Recon juga semakin beragam karena dalam seri ini mereka memperkenalkan sistem Survival di mana karakter yang Anda mainkan mungkin terluka jatuh atau seterusnya sehingga Anda harus menggunakan peralatan medis yang memadai untuk menyembuhkan. penambahan beberapa tanaman merambat dan juga rumput tinggi menjadi salah satu daya tarik baru dalam seri ini.
