The second freebie game this week from Epic is Where the Water Tastes like Wine, a story driven adventure single player, created by Dim Bulb Games, Serenity Forge, and Good Shepherd Entertainment. The game takes place in the United States during the Depression. The player travels the country collecting and retelling stories in order to pay off a debt. What that debt is, I do not know. I have not had a chance to play the game yet.

The game seems like an easy going exploration narrative game. The shop page even markets it with "Players wander across a folkloric Depression era United States at their own pace...". This looks like a good game for those just looking to relax and explore.

The hand drawn art in the 2D parts of the game looks well done and reminds me of how I have seen some books animated television. The game also has a 3D overworld map that is used while traveling, a very literal 3D map of the United States.

What caught my interest the most was the voice cast. The list of voice actors is full of bigger names in the video game voice acting industry, and Sting. Yes, Sting, from the Police.

Fully voiced characters from all walks of life brought to life by world-renowned voice acting talent, including Sting, Dave Fennoy (The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game Series), Cissy Jones (Firewatch), Kimberly Brooks (Mass Effect), Sarah Elmaleh (Gone Home), Melissa Hutchison (The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game Series), Elizabeth Maxwell (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild), and many more.

I have played a few of these games and they all have great voice acting.

📢 Dump your old internet browser and upgrade to Brave for free!

Brave comes with a built Ad Blocker that works and allows you to easily choose which sites you want to share info with (I pay the low price Hulu and Brave blocks all their ads from showing), it forces sites to use HTTPS for better encryption and browsing security, it has a built in TOR browser , and one of the best things about it is that it pays you to show its ads which or tiny corner pop ups. You dont have to allow ads and you can choose to be shown up to 5 an hour. I make about $7+ a month in BAT.
