Making My Own DCity Mythos
You've seen me write DCity fiction. I cast myself as the mayor of my own city. I have alluded to the "region" under my control as I expanded it. At some point, I also made fictional political maps that included players from the Man Cave. Of course, that is not the entire world, but still a figment of my imagination.
So, where do @gerber and his staff fit into the story? Well, my head canon says @dcitygame is some sort of constitutional monarchy. The creator of the game is the head of state, could be emperor or king, and his staff are his advisors.
The president the players elect is the head of the government, much like prime ministers. Despite the hierarchy, each player is the boss of their own city. They each have their own form of local government, or the lack thereof. For example, the territory I control is a duchy.
Given the way lobbying and election are set up, it's not even a representative democracy or a republic. It's similar to the early days of United States where only people who owned properties had a say. So, most of the nameless populace live under absolute rule of their respective rulers.
For the time being, I am the Lord Mayor of the main city on the island. That could change as time goes on when I expand more and more satellite cities. I gave my character the name of Leonis D. Modera. I chose letter D because I needed a nontraditional way to convey "the fourth". Who's the duke, you might ask? Well, that would be my character's father. Given the naming convention described, I'm sure you could guess his name already.
So, why go to this length to make a pointless narrative? There's no profound reason. I did it for fun. I needed something to do on Hive. Otherwise, everything looks bland and boring. Other players don't have to have the same story ideas as me. In fact, they can do whatever they want, or go without a narrative.
The next time you log into your DCity, see if you want to give yourself and your world a story.
Are you gong viking on your neighbors soon?
The regions on that particular map are allies.
Even better. They won't be suspecting you.
Hahaha xD
The deep state won't allow that.

.Expanding the lore requires expansion of content. Just think about trading companies, guilds, and a world map with each city randomly blessed with an abundant resource and lacking in another, this can go full blown world economics game, love it.
My own city head lore was meant to be semi dystopia. A city of nuclear plants and military complexes. We live productive as our being and our ends will be the foundations that propel our progress as a society.
If only there were cards that process corpses and convert them raw materiala...
