New free-to-play Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is out now
The wait is finally over š¤©
The time has finally come. At last, we have access to the brand new F2P Yu-Gi-Oh! game called Master Duel. I briefly mentioned this game was coming about a month ago whenever I was trying out Legacy of the Duelist. I was dying to play some Yu-Gi-Oh! and I even bought some physical cards due to the nostalgia I had towards the game. I wasn't able to get into playing the TCG IRL since there are so many new rules. Legacy of the Duelist was several years old and had dated graphics. Plus I only had the demo version and wasn't excited about paying $20+ for a game that was about to be considered old news once Master Duel finally came out. So, I remained patient.

PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam are your only options for now. Nintendo Switch and mobile device versions will be coming eventually. The best part is there is cross-platform play.
I am so hyped to finally have my hands on this one. It is going to take a lot of time for me to regain my former knowledge of the TCG and also pick up on all of the new rules. I have faith that I will be able to get it all figured out and hopefully even start building my own custom decks to use in competitive play online.

YEA! that last practice duel was cool. The combo monster was too good. I always liked the art in yu gi oh and this game's interface is fast and seemless. very cool.

I wish this Yu-Gi-Oh! game was on Hive so Iād be more likely to play it religiously.
This would be a dream come true, a Play2earn game of Yugioh, and that the cards are owned by the players like an NFT, it would be amazing.
It would be, same goes for a PokƩmon experience like that. I feel like it will happen eventually, but we still have many years of waiting until it occurs.

Meeeee too. The fact that companies are still coming out with games like this that do not implement NFTs just shows how greedy they really are. If only they realized they could still win big and give back to the community too if they released some of their control. Itās going to happen eventually.

i have been grinding this game since day 1. it has excactly same bugs like duel links, but I admit the graphics are eyepoppingly fine. Lets see if the competitive ladder is actually viable. Right now I only have structure decks so play with š š¢
I thought I saw you playing Duel Links. I didnāt try that one out until about a month ago, late I know.
Now that Master Duel is here, I think itās my best option for a Yu-Gi-Oh game. The graphics are so crisp and everything else seems to work well enough. I feel like I have way more in-game currency than I should, the game keeps giving me more and more, not complaining either. Have you bought any new decks or card packs from the shop yet? I refuse to pay real money for cards that I wonāt actually own, but Iāll get as much free stuff as I can. Iāve just been saving up all of my currency until I know what kind of decks I wish to build.
yeah I used to play duel links competitively. EU TOP 500 and went to WCS 2019 for the Experience :D I was also duel links main streamer until my main account got banned =_= for no reason. I still kept playing it though, cause I love the game. The fact that I cannot own my cards and someone just press button to delete what I have got with 3000hours playtime and over 1000 USD, just pissed me off. I quit without rehab.š¤£ i wonder how long I will stay with master duel š¤£ don't worry about the gems man. usually you need 30-40k to build a decent deck. I doubt it will be less for master duel. And for now I am just grinding before deciding on a deck to build. I remember when playing duel links I grinded my first 6 months for 2 x enemy controllers, so i can play competitively on ladder... (and later they were redeemable with tickets š)
Thatās so awesome that you managed to play competitively and even got to go to a huge event like that. Really sucks you lost your account and everything you had worked and paid for. I feel like you are about to be hooked on Master Duel. Maybe this time things will go smoother and you can rise to the top again and be properly rewarded long-term.
