[Screenshot Saturday] My Gaming Updates (Dec 26) - Ninjas, Crystals & Valkyries
This week featuring Valkyria Chronicles, Ninjala & Bravely Default Demo.
Weekly updates on the games I play, fun stuff and the interesting screenshots I take. #ScreenshotSaturday is where I put a digest of my gaming through the week. (In GameDev scene, ScreenshotSaturday is a weekly event for developers to show their progress.)
I almost didn't pay any game this week. I spent most of the time looking up mobile phones & writing articles/d.Buzz compilations. In the latter half of the week, I got a bit obsessed with ONE PIECE, as chapter 1000's release is getting closer!
I did try two of the games I have on Switch right now: Ninjala & the old demo of Bravely Default 2. I also have some screenshots from a previous week for Valkyria Chronicles that I want to talk about.
Valkyria Chronicles
I didn't play this game at all this week, but I have a screenshot from last week. These screenshots below are from the same scene.
As you know Alicia is a baker, the game establishes that your army is compromised with normal people with every-day dreams since the start... So when Alicia gets a chance to bake something in the base and gives it to Welkin, he wolfed it saying "It's so good!"
Then Alicia helped removing a bread crumb from his face, and then started talking about her dream and got too so into it:
She's so cute~
Hey didn't you do that just a min--
And here it is!
I loved this scene so much. If you're not familiar with Valkyria Chronicles you might not even realize it's a game about war. That's how they succeed in this series.
Ninjala
This is a free game on Nintendo Switch I refer to as "Fortnite with Ninja instead of guns." I don't know too much about it, and I only tried playing it for half an hour, only played the tutorial so I didn't try the main multiplayer aspect yet.
I loved the art-style so this one is a keeper for me!

I love how fluid and stylistic the animation of this game is~
Relaxing before the battle... Doing so for a week now...
Bravely Default
So, Bravely Default 2 had two Demo, I downloaded both! I don't know if you can still download the first Demo but I downloaded it last month and never got to play it because priorities. So,when the Final Demo came out, I decided to try the first one.
I didn't get much into it as well, because the two times I played it I was interrupted by a family visit. (Funny how a game about bonds gets interrupted by actual bonds.) But what I played of it is gorgeous:
This is the most "emotion" Gloria have shown in my 10 minutes play time...
That line tells me too much about the personality of the party...
The landscapes are gorgeous~ Love the eastern feel to it!
I feel that the voice acting in this Demo is a bit stiff, though~
