[Screenshot Saturday] My Gaming Updates (Dec 19) - Valkyria Strugglings
This week featuring Valkyria Chronicles & Tales of Vesperia.
Weekly updates on the games I play, fun stuff and the interesting screenshots I take. #ScreenshotSaturday is where I put a digest of my gaming through the week. (In GameDev scene, ScreenshotSaturday is a weekly event for developers to show their progress.)
This article is a day late. I was busy last week so I intentionally didn't write a #ScreenshotSaturday post for it, but this week. I simply forgot. So Sunday already started and I'm writing yesterday's article. I was busy on #dBuzz lately and considering everything I think not playing a lot in the last 14 days was worth it!
I made sure to write at least one post per day in those days but some of the articles were on Read.cash instead of HIVE, (Other than my dBuzz compilations, I almost neglected HIVE this week.)
I found that I earn more on Read.cash than on HIVE using the same post quality. I believe that will change in the future though, considering my current rising HP and my expectation for HIVE prices. Read.cash is a centralized platform and does not have its own coin/token.
Valkyria Chronicles
This time in Valkyria Chronicles we encountered the leader of the enemies so early into the game. I like how he didn't even consider us a threat. He has a point, despite all of Squad 7's achievements, they're still a special mission militia and not his true enemy, the army.
I didn't beat this mission though. Las mission I beat was the one from last time. I did try to beat it multiple times and as I finally reached an advantageous situation, I saved to resume when I play next time, whenever that would be...
I love using this sniper or just snipers in general! They're fragile...
Nice integration of games mechanics into the dialogue. VC is good at it, it seems.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
Each of the last few parts of the story were a climax that tops the one before it. The section I played in these two weeks was emotional and a serves as a low point for at least two of the party members. Didn't learn anything new about the lore here but another sub-story of the game ended and I believe the story is on its way to the climax.

I can see both of their sides, but Karol doesn't know how hard for Yuri to make his decisions...
This Aifread guy must've been a great man! Or terrible one. I bet on the former.

So, that's what I have... I'm trying to save up money for something big that's why I'm cutting off gaming time lately... I hope to take a break after finishing that. For now, I pray for you to have a blessed day/night!

Valkyria Chronicles was one of my favorite games and I remember playing it on a PSP. I was first introduced to this series when it came out as an anime. It was a tough but fun game and sometimes it took multiple attempts to clear a mission.
I think the PSP titles were 2 and 3 the latter is Japanese only but has an English patch... I'm aware of the anime but I wanted to play the games first... Oh, and yeah! It takes multiple tries to beat each level, haha~
