Prompt A Day | Not All Who Wander Are Lost

It's another Friday, the 24th day of Prompt A Day challenge by @shadowspub. On a side note, we're welcoming the Chinese New Year. Xin Nian Kuai Le to all who celebrate! ^_^

Today, I chose the word prompt: wander

The online dictionary defines wander as

verb. walk or move in a leisurely, casual, or aimless way.

I would go for casual or leisurely, but I wouldn't say aimless. When my daughter turned 18, she requested that instead of a debutante party, she would rather have 18 adventures. That year sort of marked the beginning of our wanderings.

When I agreed with my daughter to do the 18 adventures, I honestly didn't think it would be possible, given the limited resources we had back then. However, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and focused on making it happen.

Some of the adventures we chose were really simple, nothing too fancy or lavish. Just like that time we decided to try the M.O.A. (Mall of Asia) Eye. It was a first for us both. We had a grand time. Each successful adventure led to another.

To date, that's a quick summary of our wanderings starting from my daughter's eighteenth year. (I previously published this photo via APPICS for my MondayMantra about anchoring yourself to a goal.)

For us, to wander is not to get lost, but to expand our horizons, broaden our minds, and experience life as it happens. Here's to wishing for more adventures to fulfill our wanderlust.
