Paid In Full | In The Voice Of A Repentant Soldier

On this mission no mercy,
Shoot at sight anything fly,
The command our captain,
As we crawl on the adversaries,
With full intentions to kill them all,
No one must look back like dogs.

At the streams of life,
Where all squat to drink,
A soldier of fortune dressed like a celebrity,
Brooding over a spilled,
A waste of a lifetime,
Bleeding tears from the skin.

I am the sniper that shot,
Into the midst of the multitude,
Aiming only at the deadly friend,
Spilling innocent blood,
On a holy altar of the most high,
Tied with a chain into the holies.

All this began yesterday,
Now it appears like in forever,
A trusted friend had backstabbed a solicitor,
In betrayal of an earlier accord,
It wasn't meant to end in brutality.

As we lay in ambush to protect our territory,
I reminisced the recent alliance,
Where a treaty was signed,
To uphold the tenets of our compatriots,
Hoisting the emblem of sovereignty.

In a battalion of heroes,
The least in the rankings,
Holding sway for the troop,
At the instance of plaguing the truth,
Soldiers of fortune corked their arms.

It happened in the flash of light,
Retreat!! Retreat!!!
Do not progress through the valleys,
Our Captain alarmed behind the battle lines,
We were just about to launch an offensive.

I hardly mounted the bullet-row,
When the gentleman whispered into my ears,
Asking that I calm it down,
We can win battles in the line of duty,
Let's notice the war with out mediocrity.

If that's going to be our testimonials,
We shouldn't just jump and the trigger,
Shooting at sight every butterfly that flies across our minds,
Doubling the trouble of finding lasting peace,
Soldier of fortune wake up you sleepy mind.

The spill has been paid for in full,
The payer an unknown soldier,
Who gave his life to settle the scuffle,
We did not have to dialogue the procedure,
He went all the way to pay for us all.
