#SilverPornSaturday: US Constitutional Silver

According to @steemitboard, I have posted more than total of 650 articles since I first introduced myself here on April 1, 2018.... 95% of them were on precious metals.

The articles essentially describe how I stack and my thoughts on precious metals stacking and were written for myself, more than anything, as a reminder to stay the course.

Firstly, there is no such thing as one single way to stack precious metals. The rule of thumb is: buy only what you like! Also, it is the person's financial ability and goals that should determine how one accumulates his/her stack.

I personally started building the foundation of my stack with TWO types of silver bullion: American Silver Eagles and U.S. Constitutional Silver.

WHAT IS CONSTITUTIONAL SILVER?

Constitutional Silver is simply US coins (dimes, quarters, halves, dollars) minted before 1965. Up until that point coins made for US currency followed the Constitutional mandate and were minted containing 90% silver.

US Constitutional silver is sometimes called "junk silver".

Junk silver is an informal term used in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia for any silver coin which is in fair or cull condition and has no numismatic or collectible value above the bullion value of the silver it contains. The word "junk" refers only to the value of the coins as collectibles and not to the actual condition of the coins; junk silver is not necessarily scrap silver.

When I saw these photos, my resolve was once again made stronger to keep my course in building up the foundation of my stack of U.S. silver coins and fractional gold.

As it did for me, I am sharing these photos with the hope that you too will be inspired and motivated to STACK ON!!!

Congrats on your amazing post achivement and I'm not surprised that most of them are about silver and Metals 😉 you are miss stacker 👍
About those "junk" Silver I only have a few of them as they are much more expensive here, but I like many of them and silver eagle is beautiful.

Hehehe, You are like me... you regularly add to your stack, and I think that is the best way to do it. I follow your silver journey very closely, and I KNOW that your collection is getting bigger than some, my stacking sis!
Regarding "junk silver", you don't have to do US Constitutional SIlver. They happen to be very popular here in the US, but you have your own "junk silver" like:

Try looking for these from your supplier, they are very pretty coins, and are expensive here in the US.

Yes I guess we think alike there and I do collect the things I love but been so focused on rare silver and some american ones 🙈 but haven't really thought of looking at swedish coins 😜

We know Constitutional is the perfect fractional silver best suited for emergency commerce. Recognizable by the public at large when there is a sudden loss in faith of the currency.

Exactly, sis @kerrislravenhill! I just love stacking silver coins... so it is ASE and US COnstitutional silver for me. There is nothing like exchanging fiat for real MONEY! It always makes me feel so wise and accomplished every time I do that, hahaha! The 650 articles, I really do not know how I did it. I think I just committed to it and did it. You know the saying... just do it!

You know that I am a fan of Junk Silver and I have junk from America, Canada, Switzerland and Brazil. I love to take them out of the tubes and play Scrooge McDuck with them, just to hear the sound of silver...:=)

I guess I started with "Junk Silver" too because as a kid I could pick the Silver out in change. These times are long gone, but I remember other people would trade me clad Quarters for Silver Quarters because they new I collected them....and either were only worth .25 cents....at the time!!!😇

WOW... to have experience silver coinage in circulation... when real money circulated! BTW, when I started watching YT videos on silver stacking, there were some hoarding boxes and boxes of pennies. What was that for?

People that collected Silver coins when I was a kid were forward thinking about where the price was going and what they were removing from our real money. Copper prices were rising to the point that a (Wheat) penny was worth more than a penny.
Up to 1982 penny's were 95% copper and 5% other metal...
Then after 1982 they switched to 97.5% Zinc and 2.5% Copper
Now they are 99.2% Zinc and only .8% copper.....
I still keep all of my "real" copper penny's, I'll never retire over these penny's .....Hmm I'm already retired LOL!🤗
Good thing I didn't call myself @coppertop!😀

Hello @californiacrypto! That is a nice looking Neo silver round. There are different designs depicting cryptocurrencies in 1 oz silver.
Yes, US Constitutional silver is readily available from online precious metals dealers, ebay, local coin shops and other secondary market venues. They are difficult to find in circulation and there many whose hobby are to get boxes of Quarters or JFK halves and go through the rolls of coins "hunting" for silver coins. They are called "coin roll hunters".
