Music Monday (feel free to add your own track)

The aim is simple, to banish those Monday blues with an eclectic range of music chosen by Steemit friends both old and new.

Music Monday.jpg

Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Hiveians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture its true essence.

As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the number of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying a good start to the week. This week I thought I'd delve back into my old hip hop collection and pull out a classic that still manages to sound fresher than 99% of modern output. With a bassline that has yet to be equaled, and the flow to back it up .. this is one track that I really enjoyed hearing again. I hope you enjoy!

Hi my old friend. Long time no speak. Hope you remember me. I just recently started getting active on Hive, as Steemit has been taken over by an absolute lunatic (Justin Sun) lately who has basically destroyed the platform. I was (and am) getting almost no traction there and thus will move my efforts here now.

I've started a very large exposé series entitled EXPOSÉ: BillGates-COVID-19-ID2020-WHO-CDC-BigPharma-Gavi-Rockefeller: Connecting the Dots and have just (literally a few minutes ago) added a reference to your wonderful Agenda 2030 Culture Wars Part One: Population Control & The Sexual Perception Deception blog post as it pertains to Rockefeller in Part 6a - The Rockefellers & The Rockefeller Foundation of my series. (this 6th segment is my largest post so far in the series, as it was actually too big to post in a single shot due to the size being too big! lol; so, I had to created parts 6a & 6b to squeeze it all in - too much dirt on the Rockefellers!)

Anyway, I am looking forward to reading more of your outstanding work, hoping you will re-connect with me so we can keep in touch.

Peace my friend. God bless!

Thank you my friend .. yes of course, I remember you and your informative posts and I look forward to sittting down and reading your latest output. I'm all in on the big posts lol because you're entirely right .. the scale of this is so vast that you could spend the rest of your life solely focusing on the Rockefellers and their myriad of connections into medicine, psychiatry, education, and every social movement on earth, and still not have a full body of work. Only once you focused your full attention on such investigation do you begin to realise the scale of it. Thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to catching up with you.

I've never been much of a hip hop or rap fan myself but I have been getting more than my fair share of it lately with the boogers (young kids) who live behind me during this lock down...along with several weekly doses of smoke from their little bonfires they have going on. Last summer I'd get worn out on it and give their management company a call to ask them to reign it in a bit and if that didn't work I'd call the cops on them. It's not that I wasn't young once myself and we partied a whole lot but we also alternated partying between friends houses as to not totally drive the neighbors crazy all the time....but this year I'd rather have them back there together driving me nuts then out taking a chance they could get this virus and spread it to someone who could potentially die from it, if that's what it takes to keep them happy and together so be it my contribution to be in this together with them because that's what people do in times like this, they come together whatever it takes to make it through and it sends an incredible message that we will not be torn apart as I've came to believe this is an objective behind all of this. My contribution this week goes out to all who've contributed to healing people, keep people safe, calm people's fears and looked out for one another in some fashion or another. I really can't think of a better person to have brought us this fine contribution than James Taylor and company on The Voice last week.

A beautiful sentiment and a beautiful song .. in a world of division and fear, it's hard to stay annoyed at those who are trying to find a way to come together and help each other through it .. in their own way. Certainly, this song represents the best in humanity and community .. and whatever peoples perspective on all this, there have been many people that have existed as a beacon of light for those that have been shrouded in darkness. Thank you for the music my friend.

You like a bit of jazz? I'm not sure that this counts as banishing the Monday blues, but I have to admit I found this kind of humourous, in a dark kind of way! Have a great week!

Yeah love a bit of jazz .. never thought of it as music to disinfect to though lol Man, if you don't laugh you'll cry lol Whatever the situation music enables you to look at a different perspective and to raise a smile .. I remember when I was at school, a rough and ready all boys school .. in the first year I used to make up rhymes about the 5th year bullies, you create the right rhyme and its amazing to observe their power slip[ away under the weight of laughter. Thanks for the music and the memories dude! :)

In Canada, it is easy to forget it is Monday until your post shows up.

Here is a blast from the way back but in a recent frame. One of Judas Priest's latest tours released on their official youtube channel!

Hey .. hope you've enjoyed a good week!? Yeah I know what you mean, all the days are kind of merging into one at the moment. The energy levels these guys have are incredible, they're rocking just as hard as they ever did and his voice still sounds amazing .. a testament to doing what you love, and putting your heart and soul into it. I haven't watched the full gig yet .. but I will. Thank you for the music .. a great choice!!

I agree: the rap has degraded and most is used to promote low values: consumerism, bling-bling, etc.
The good news is that there are artists who work to create a better world, by using music to get the message across:

What do you think about this one?

Yes great selection, really enjoyed this track ..important message, delivered with wisdom and backed by information .. excellent choice. I wrote a post about both swine flu's a few years back and the neurological damage that the 1976 vaccine gave people, was repeated by the 2011 vaccine .. in fact, there are still ongoing court cases about it .. especially in Ireland. Thank you for the music my friend .. an inspired choice. Thought you might also appreciate the track above.
