HiveBloPoMo | National Fennch Toast Day!!
Today is National French Toast Day!
I had so much planed for this post, but I've had a hell of a day. When I looked at my calendars I saw what today was on the HiveBloPoMo calendar & I had no post planned on my own, So I decided to make some 'French Toast' to post about, easy peasy, right?
Not!!, I got a migraine headache, so unexpected, I don't usually get those. I had to take my son to work since his car was messed up from an accident, so no pain medicine till I'm on my way back & almost home, also when it was time to leave, I couldn't find my keys, my husband had used them this morning to get something out the car & never put them back where I had them. Made my son late for work.
So I wanted to get this out there although it's not what I wanted it to be, Maybe I'll come back in a day or 2 & edit it with all the bells & whistles.
So Here' Goes
I'm back to give you all the bells & whistles, so I hope you enjoy!!
Ingredients & Untensils
For this I like to use my square griddle & I'll be using one of my egg beater tools.
Two Recipes in One
As You see, My Husband & I like our 'French Toast ' differently, so I prepare mine first & then add cinnamon to the mix for his.
Preparation
Most of these directions are approximates. I don't measure anything I just use to suite my tastes. You can make adjustments where needed. I love the butter taste so I do use a lot of it, you may not want to use as much & that's okay.
Side Note
When using the egg beater tool, the handle pushes up & down so I concentrate on one egg at a time and the mix all to make sure it's all mixed togrther. A whisk you don't have to do this, you just whip it til it's all mixed together.
Back To Prepping & Cooking
You'll notice a spat of butter on each slice of bread, I do this just before I flip it to make sure there's enough butter to soak into each slice for that rich butter flavor. You can omit this step if you don't want as much butter.
On To The Cinnamon
Of course if you're not making butter frech toast, you would simply do this before the previous step, Before prepping the skillet & cooking the french toast.
The Completed Dish
I ike to squeeze the syrup on each slice of toast and by the time I'm done the whole plate is covered with syrup, Yes I like a lot of syrup too!
Remember the saying 'Opposites Attract' well that's my husband and I. I like butter & he likes cinnamon, I like lots of syrup & he just squeezes a lttle, I even use less butter when cooking his french toeast & you'll may have notice that we even use differnt types of paper plates.
Well that's it folks, I hope you try some french toast my way! If you use my recipe, let me know how it turned out & what you think.
I will like to have a taste of your French Toast. Because with the preparation, it will be really delicious
Thanks! Funny thing, I just finished up the rest of the post pics and all I have to do is add them in with a little more writing. Will be done shortly!

Woaooah really?? Let me go and have a look at them
My husband is a cinnamon French Toast lover, too. I will eat French Toast (with butter), but it's not something I ever crave nor seek after. I'm just not big on breakfast foods (well, a good cinnamon roll would be good, though).
I hope you enjoyed it!
I love breakfast foods I just don't usually have them at what is known as breakfast time. It's usually 11 or so before I eat & if it happens to be breakfast, so be it. I actually made the french toast just for the post. On the other hand my husband oves breakfast time, so he was very happy to know I cooked.
Cinnamon Roll are the best!!
