After four straight years, it's over. Over in a good way. Four straight 9-7 seasons and the Titans have finally hit a double digit win total for the first time since 2008. What a wonderful feeling indeed.

I actually had a fun time the last four years watching the Titans be a solidly competitive team, but after awhile being barely above .500 gets old, and as a fan you start expecting and wanting more. The Titans finally have more!

As a matter of fact the Titans have ten wins with two games left to go in the season!

How did the Titans break their 9-7 curse? Well, they beat the Detroit Lions with relative ease, 46-25. Matthew Stafford and the Lions have still never beaten the Tennessee Titans since the franchise has been in Nashville.

The Titans offense honestly looks amazing. The offense looks unstoppable at times. I think it's safe to say the Titans clearly have one of the top offenses in all of the NFL. It's arguable they're even better than the Chiefs. Even the stats are showing it.

The Titans absolutely dismantled the Lions offensively. The Titans scored 46 points with 463 total yards on offense. Derrick Henry ran for 147 yards and a TD. Ryan Tannehill only had six incompletions and scored FIVE total touchdowns (3 passing, two rushing) in one of his more stellar performances of 2020. Rookie running back Darrynton Evans returned healthy after missing ten weeks. He appears fully healthy and ready to go and in my opinion he made a nice impact on the game! In his third game of his career he totaled 57 total yards from scrimmage and caught a TD. It might not seem like a massive impact but it was solid! I had high hopes before the season that the Titans would have more options at running back, and not have to just use and abuse Henry and possibly have him injured or really worn down to start a playoff run. Now it seems that Evans is back and healthy and hopefully ready to make impact down the stretch and into the playoffs! Evans is a super speedy guy and surprisingly strong, I believe that he can add a serious dimension to this already high powered offense. A guy like Evans can really subtly take a lot of pressure off other offensive skill players and make the opposing defense nervous. Evans can blow past you and Henry can straight up punch you in the mouth as he did to the Lions. This running back tandem could be the ace up the Titans' sleeve! It's an extremely small sample size, but the Titans have won all three games that Evans has been on the field. I know that may seem silly to bring up, but the speed threat that Evans brings really can be important and complimentary to Henry, who is very fast himself.

The Titans also welcomed back starting CB Adoree Jackson. Jackson has been injured all season with a very mysterious injury and the secondary has suffered in his absence. He played a fair amount against the Lions and hopefully he can continue to help the team going down the stretch. Jackson is a very good corner. The defense needs all the help it can get.

The defense was pretty good against the Lions. Shaky at times as usual, but they had some huge and clutch turnovers that really made the difference in this game. I'm happy to see that from the defense.

While the defense has it's problems, they aren't completely terrible.

With the Titans offense playing lights out, all I know is the Titans are by no means an easy game for anyone. They will be very hard to eliminate in the post season. Technically, the post season is not locked up for the Titans, but it's highly likely they'll make it, and I'll save that for another post.

The Titans have a huge game coming up in primetime against the Packers. The defense needs to play as hard as possible, and the offense needs to play as great as they have been all season.

Hopefully the Titans can make a statement this week!
