Un monumento se entiende como un objeto que representa a un lugar, un objeto popular, reconocido por los habitantes de dicha zona y que a su vez se convierte en punto de referencia con respecto al entorno.

Hay otra característica de un monumento y es que suelte concebirse con el propósito de recordar alguna persona influyente en la historia, o algún hecho que también haya marcado la cultura.

A mi parecer el objeto en esta fotografía es un monumento, también una escultura, que representa la realidad de un país y una cultura, y que ahora es punto de referencia en una urbanización en San Antonio de los Altos, Caracas, Venezuela. Ésta realidad que representa es la decidía y el abandono que sufre un país.

A monument is understood as an object that represents a place, a popular object, recognized by the inhabitants of that area and which in turn becomes a point of reference with respect to the environment.

There is another characteristic of a monument and it is that it is conceived with the purpose of remembering some influential person in history, or some fact that has also marked the culture.

In my opinion, the object in this photograph is a monument, also a sculpture, which represents the reality of a country and a culture, and which is now a point of reference in an urbanization in San Antonio de los Altos, Caracas, Venezuela. This reality that it represents is the decision and abandonment suffered by a country.
