El Diablo a todas horas/The Devil all the time (Reseña/Review)

Willard Russel se devuelve a su hogar después de participar en la guerra, cansado de la masacre vista y de los pecados que lleva encima desea un descanso para su cuerpo y alma. Mientras va en camino a su hogar se detiene en una cafetería donde se siente atraído por una mesera, que elige como el amor de su vida, buscando formar una familia y ser fiel a Dios Willard enseña a su hijo lo importante de rezar diariamente. La importancia de creer en Dios, usar su nombre para justificar actos, esperar un milagro por tener fe en él, es en lo que se basa las personas Knockemstiff, lugar donde vive Willard con su esposa e hijo Arvin, un hijo que cargara con los pecados de otros.

Willard Russel returns to his home after participating in the war, tired of the slaughter seen and the sins that he carries, he wishes a rest for his body and soul. While on his way home he stops at a coffee shop where he is attracted to a waitress, whom he chooses as the love of his life, seeking to start a family and be faithful to God. Willard teaches his son the importance of praying daily. The importance of believing in God, using his name to justify acts, waiting for a miracle by having faith in him, is what the Knockemstiff people are based on, where Willard lives with his wife and son Arvin, a son who will carry the sins of others.

Esta película llamó mucho la atención por su cast, con actores bastante conocidos y siendo una producción de Netflix, bastante puede ser los casos que esto crea una película normal, con personajes aburridos que los llenan grandes actores pero este no es el caso, cada actor le da vida a un personaje importante e interesante en toda la película. No puedo decir que usaron actores conocidos solo para llamar la atención y no por su talento actoral, pero sea cual fuese el caso fue la mejor forma de colocar nuestra atención a una adaptación de una novela que me dieron muchas ganas de leer.

No esta hecha en un formato nuevo, no es una nueva forma de contar una historia, sino la historia en si es lo que atrapa. Varias historias pasan mientras que poco a poco se van uniendo, hilos sueltos que se van enrollando para hacer una fuerte soga, esto es lo que esta película. He llegado a leer y escuchar opiniones de que el final fue muy suelto o que el protagonista; el centro de todas las historias, no tenia un rumbo, pero estoy en oposición con esas opiniones, considero que tuvo un buen final y no tuvo cabos sueltos, fue un final abiertos que puede dejar a la imaginación saber que pudo haber pasado, de igual manera, pase lo que pase después de todos esos sucesos no cambia nada del pasado, justo lo que habla la película.

Los pecados de otros fueron el peso de un inocente, mientras Dios observa como sus hijos se revuelcan en el barro, el Diablo juega a empujarlos uno a los otros. Eso es lo que es El Diablo a todas horas, no es una simple bajada que puedes tomar con calma, es un barranco donde solo vas cayendo sin saber donde estará el fondo. Esta película dura dos horas y esta disponible en Netflix, espero la disfruten tanto como yo.

This film drew a lot of attention for its cast, with well-known actors and being a Netflix production, it may quite be the cases that this creates a normal movie, with boring characters that are filled with great actors but this is not the case, every actor brings to life an important and interesting character throughout the movie. I can't say they used well-known actors just to get attention and not for their acting talents, but whatever the case was, it was the best way to put our attention on an adaptation of a novel that made me really want to read.

It is not made in a new format, it is not a new way of telling a story, but the story itself is what captures. Several stories pass while little by little they come together, loose threads that are wound to make a strong rope, this is what this film is about. I have come to read and hear opinions that the ending was very loose or that the protagonist; the center of all the stories, it did not have a direction, but I am in opposition to those opinions, I consider that it had a good ending and did not have loose ends, it was an open ending that can let the imagination know what could have happened, in the same way Anyway, whatever happens after all these events, nothing in the past changes, just what the film talks about.

The sins of others were the weight of an innocent, while God watches as his children roll in the mud, the Devil plays to push one another. That is what The Devil all the time, it is not a simple descent that you can take calmly, it is a ravine where you only go falling without knowing where the bottom will be. This movie lasts two hours and is available on Netflix, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
