Repeating hell is life
Oh no so ominous. It is a new year and with that comes the same shit. I have this one job that I tend to forget about and when I do recall it then I wish I can forget it again.
It is a simple thing really, "update the site". Simple.
It is the most tedious, and frustrating site on the planet. No only because they insist on using the most useless hosting available but also because it is a process where automation seems to just break.
I use to automate but each time something changes it becomes pointless. Fair enough I could build in more flexibility etc. really I don't want to.
This is one of those jobs that just needs to go. If anything this post is to remind me to remind them that I will be dead next year and will not be able to do it again.
It will be glorious. When I am dead they will try message me anyway and ask if I can do it. I will haunt them one evening and moan: "Nooooo! Nooooo!"
I know the M.O, because last year I told them to find a new dev. Unfortunately my dumbass answered the quote request.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly.
Next time it is fool proof, because the fool will be dead.
