New Season, New Cards, Tiny New UI?

Hey everyone!
It has been such a long time since I could actually spend time playing splinterlands again and blog about it; but fortunately I could still get up to Silver 1 that landed me these 3 "new kids" on from the Untamed versions!

However I haven't really been able to use it except at one battle...

When I took the advantage of reverse speed to flick on the worst damage with 2 of my big mana cards at the same time under low team mana circumstances.

This guy isn't super cheap when it comes to trading with DEC; and I suppose I might KIV on getting it until maybe I have seen at least 4 with the lowest price available; and so far, no luck winning with the other new cards yet.

I am yet to figure out whether ant miners is a worth while investment because it only sucks life from fallen cards. Unlike the Gelatinous cube that could still be used as a tank.... unless I use it at full mana power up condition teamed with the strongest card.

Besides, it is super weak as an attacker. Even with Malric boosting it will only be adding one.

So still not a 100% sure whether I should upgrade this.

Grim Reaper is really kind of hard to use it unless I have a big mana team and it is protected by stronger cards in between for it to shoot poisonous shots at heal-able cards; other than that I can't say anything about it just yet.

I don't think I can really use its full power until I have enough to level up summoners.

Yeah... maybe investing on summoners first could just be the best choice when I have enough DECs.

I just hope I will have a little more time to play later when things are less crazy in the real world.

I do like Sand Worm and Ant Miners. Anything that costs (1) is good, and being Fire means he can easily hit for 2 with Malic. This new lot of reward cards are much better than the last dismal lot we got.

I have never tried ant miners yet but the Sand Worm was very useful when the mana is high and the criteria was locked under the reverse speed.

And I must agree with you. The new rewards batch is way much better. Now I just need to save up enough DEC to purchase summoners bit by bit,
