It turns out our beloved Splinterlands creators aren't that cruel. You get the reward at the end of the season on the highest league attained, even if you can't hang in there!

As it happens, the season ends before my next daily quest, so it looks like I'll stay there and only step back to diamond III. Not that it'll take much to knock me back from there with everyone else resetting with me, but that's part of the fun!

Now onto another Splinterlands dilemma. I converted a chunk of Steem to DEC, so I've been eyeing up cards in the marketplace. All this DEC burning a hole in my pocket, but I can't make a decision as to what to spend it on! Every time I think I've decided on a card, I second guess myself and can't bring myself to press that button and buy. It used to be so much simpler, because I could see where my obvious weak points were in the matches and they need shoring up, but now it's just a matter of making little tweaks.

Do I buy packs and have the surprise of what comes with opening them, letting fate ordain how I move forward? Do I level up some cards that will come in useful in matches, or do I level up all my summoners first, because I won't be able to use the deck at full level without them also being at their highest level?

Then I'm also aware that staying in the higher leagues will earn more DEC for fights won and daily quests completed, which will help me to grow and level up my deck some more and…
