The Sneak Ability on Splinterlands

This week, the @splinterlands team put a call out for posts about the Sneak ability. I lined up a battle, put 2 sneak attackers in thinking my team was ok, and... defeated.

First attempt:

You can see the battle here. My opponent blitzed me from the start and I was never in the fight. I like to deploy the Exploding Dwarf to inflict some quick heavy damage, but unfortunately in that battle I was on the receiving end and wiped out quickly.

Worse, this battle knocked me back out of Champion 2 level - the highest League I have ever reached.

Never mind, I dusted myself off and set up the next battle.

Second attempt:

Here I was determined to get a sneaky win, so I put three sneak monsters in my lineup. Included in my team in this battle was my favourite Sneak attack monster - The Silvershield Assassin.

As you can see, mine is at level 7 and comes equipped with 2 shields, 6 health, 4 speed, 2 melee attack, sneak, double strike and poison. This array of attack, especially with some inspire and extra speed from buffs from other team members, can quickly work through an opponents back line. In this life team I added in the Elven Cutthroat and Feral Spirit combo to maximize the sneak blitz, with Darius to inspire and extra melee attack.

This time around the battle was won fairly well and the sneak proved to be a successful tactic for the battle. I like teaming up multiple sneakers when using the tactic, 1 sometimes doesn't have much impact, and can be easily countered by a healer or thorns in last place.

Season end.

I finished up this season in Champion 2 - my highest ever level.

This rank granted 120 Loot Chests as reward. The haul from these has the following highlights:

  • Around 1500 DEC
  • 46 cards total
  • 1 gold - Nectar Queen.
  • 1 legendary - The Kraken.
  • 3 Orbs.
From the orbs I landed 1 legendary - the Corrupted Pegasus - with the rest being commons and rares.

All up, around $7.40 worth of cards, and 1500 DEC.

I hope the season end rewards are kind to you all, and that the upcoming move from STEEM to HIVE goes smoothly.

See you on the Splinterlands,

JK. (@jk6276.mons on the battlefield)
