The English meaning of PHANTASM is that it is something that is seen or imagined but is not REAL. But in SplinterLands game we have a real flying PHANTASM monster that I'm calling the night Drgraon that fires your BACK if you try to fiddle around it.

In this blog post; I'll be discussing some of the high-level pointers like::-

  • PHANTASM Monster card level discussion, stats and how I am stack with the monster card PHANTASM
  • Gameplay & Strategy discussed in detailed
  • Battle Results & How Often I use SILVERSHIELD WARRIOR
  • A Final Note to keep things simple; simplicity is the one that is admired by most people & I'm one of them that likes to keep things clear and simple.

So how I'm stacked with PHANTASM Monster the Night Dragon? Here is the snapshot of the Seven cards that I've of this monster.

image.png

First thing first; combining these seven cards...

And was short of another seven cards that could have brought PHANTASM at level 3. Having som spared DECs, I decided to buy another 7 cards from the market to level-up PHANTASM at level 3.

image.png

Now that I feel somewhat comfortable, I think now my Night Dragon is Ready to Battle. If you did ask me what is my comfort level than I would have said Level 5 as it did get me the ReturnFire ability.

image.png

Frankly speaking, I've one of the Dragon card named RED DRAGON that is at level 4, and I really like its Return Fire ability. So quote and quote if you have some DECs or HIVE to spare considering upgrading the card to level 5 so that you can really experience the Return Fire ability.

So it was a 28 MANA CAP Battle with two rules. The first one non-flying monsters take a 2 Melle damage and the second rule was Ranged attack monster cannot be used in the Battle.

The PHANTASM my NIGHT Dragon that FIRES BACK having the flying ability was a plus point to get this monster in the battle. I know that I have this monster at a lower level but still, this rule of non-flying came as an advantage to me.

Here is the LINE-UP of my Monster Cards::-

Game Plan & Strategy Discussion::

Haunted Spirit was the main striker for this battle. As you can see that I've this spirit monster at level 7 and that gives me the opportunity to explore 3 abilities i.e. Heal, Magic Reflect & Void and all of the abilities turned out to be very handy in the battle feild. I was mainly relying on the healing ability for this monster to stay in the battle feild for a longer period of time and this strategy did work out well.

ENCHANTED PIXIE was there to inspire all the Melle Attack monster and since it has flying ability it did escape the 2 Melle damage.

Yes, I know that you might be wondering why SKELETON ASSASSIN since the 2 Melle damage at the end of every round could be dangerous for this monster. But my strategy was to rely on its Poison and weaken the oppononets monsters. Also it high power gives my SKELETON ASSASSIN to attack first.

I'm sure you will know why the choice of UNDEAD PRIEST as its pretty simple. The tactic here was to weaken and slow the oppononet monsters.

You will notice the same when you replay the battle and will notice how this UNDEAD PRIEST creates its Spell on my opponent monsters and lead my team to the upper hand in the battle.

Rest is history and I'll keep it for you to explore in the Replay Match. So overall the strategy did work out well and here is the result:: A Clear WINNER getting me 18+ points and +27 DECs the In-game currency.

The answer is very straight forward as you would have noticed in the beginning, where I showed combining and buying some cards of this Death monster PHANTASM
This is for the first time that I've used PHANTASM in the battlefield. Based on my experience and the knowledge that I possess about the game, I feel that this monster card is a bit high on being at 6 Mana but at the same time, it compensates with High health.

A pro-tip, that I would like to give is to explore PHANTASM - The NIGHT Dragon that FIRES BACK at level 5 if you can. coz. I feel the Return Fire ability is a GEM. I've been exploring this Return Fire ability with my other Dragon cards and so far it has been a great experience winning battles when you have these kinds of abilities in your monster cards.

A Final Note to keep things simple; Tell me in One Word Should I include PHANTASM in my card collection?

Only when if you can upgrade it to level 5 and see the real hidden GEM show its magic with the Return Fire ability. Go ahead without any confusion in upgrading the card to level 5 if you can and you will notice that this PHANTASM Death Monster is a real BEAST

**I love that name The Night Dragon that Fires back, this is a nice card and I always consider it of Earthquake rule. **
