These cards were made for Yodin! Even before he existed :)

In the Splinterlands Crypto Game, the 11-mana magic tank and anti-tank Caladuum from the Fire Splinter feels very weird when you try to use him with any summoner except Yodin. Melee summoners make almost no sense in high mana battles, there aren't that many magic monsters to consider magic (dragon) summoners, 2-mana epic summoners are also redundant in high mana battles and, last but not least, if you want to use ranged, then Yodin is better than Selenia Sky anyway. Yodin allows Caladuum to hit like a truck, because when his damage is 3, 2 will be slashed. That is a lot if you're going to use Yodin, because it completely covers your Magic fill, to make sure you're prepared in case you face off against a lot of armored or shielded enemies.

Fire splinter was never known to be an agile force. You only really have Spark Pixies. Yodin himself does not provide +speed, but the fire splinter has one more card which goes really well with both the splash mechanic and the lack of speed: Globin Shaman. Acting as an anti-sniper blockade, it will slow down all enemies and reduce their hp, which greatly enhances how destructive your Splash monsters can be. For the most part, you only want to pick 1 other magic monster besides Caladuum, so this is a strong choice. Naga Fire Wizard for the backline is nice too, as she will also splash for 2 while covering your backline with thorns. Beetle Queen is not terrible, but "no heals" Zalran Efreet will shine as he leeches for 2 life every time he attacks, or even 3 if it's "all snipers".

A high level Flamesmith will keep Caladuum armored and still dish out high damage quickly enough to remain a very strong pick in many scenarios. Imp Bowman provides a LOT for a mere 2 mana, attacking for 3 and splashing for 2 even through armor, thanks to his piercing ability. Spark pixies is obviously very well regarded, but just like Goblin Shaman fit into the 20~30 mana battles, so does the super tanky Fire Beetle, which surely will last more than just one round despite being slow. The way he Splashes damage everywhere due to his Snipe is magnificent!

For neutrals, War Chaang in Melee Mayhem is very effective, Tower Griffin is always a good choice, Creeping Ooze can fill with an additional Slow, Dwarven Wizard's splashes bypass armor, Centaur is an obvious choice and Magi Sphinx is just brutal, Battering Ram is all right.
