Welcome to the newest video of the Splinterlands tips, tricks, and tactics! It's not a secret that I like to play defensive battles and it means that I like to use healing monsters and monsters with thorns ability... In that way, I'm doing damage to my opponent by defending myself...
In the battle that I have shared with you in this video, I have played with Water Splinter, which is my favorite when I have to do my defensive strategy... We have played without Melee monsters and that is even more perfect for strong defense... Usually, if you are thinking in that way means that your opponent is probably thinking similar... So, what is the best "antidote" for healers? Poison or affliction, of course...

it's nice that you got the affliction on your first try. i use that strategy with the death splinter and the darkest mage (only 2 mana and causes affliction), but i've gone like 4 or 5 rounds before the reflect kills him and he never gets the affliction to land. it's so frustrating.
Oh, yeah... I was lucky in this one, but I do have cases like you described.. 4-5 rounds without triggering the affliction... and chances are 50-50... doubt in that... lol...
I don't have darkest mage, but I saw that people play with him a lot... Also Banshee is one of the cards that I would like to have in my death deck...
