Taking The Splinterlands Rental Market For A Spin

Hey Splinterlands fans

So I've been playing this game for some time now, I don't get much time to play, but I always make time to do my daily quest and collect my rewards. Since I don't have much time to trade cards and find good deals on the market, I was looking for ways to put some of my Splinterlands gaming into autopilot, and I found the rental market.

As many Splinterlands players know as you grow your deck, you start to develop your strategy and have a bias towards certain cards. While some players would sell there's off, I tend not too, I upgrade them and keep them as I like to collect them too.

So since I don't play with all my cards, I thought I could put them to good use by allowing other players a chance to use them through the rental market.

Renting out cards

As you play regularly, you earn new cards, you can level up, and if you don't use certain cards, there may be players who would like to use them. So what I did was login to peakmonsters, select cards I don't use and add a free I would like to receive for renting my cards.

I set my renting for a minimum a week and maximum 20 days and users can rent a card based on that date range. You also have to compete with other users renting cards so you can't use any price, you need to try and be competitive and find cards that people want but very few available for rent.

I tend to rent out many of my Gold cards since they seem to get picked up quicker for rent.

Rental income

I listed 78 cards for rent recently and had 31 offers taken up, I now get $0.04 income daily added to my wallet in peakmonsters, and I now have $0.69 sitting in my account made up of both HIVE and STEEM.

Rental contracts

Here you can see some of the open rental contracts I have and the spread I am getting on some of my cards. I think renting is excellent for those who have large volumes of cards or those who cannot play and want to put their account in a sort of autopilot and still earn an income from these NFT assets.
