Leverage the cryptocurrency exchanges around the Splinterlands ecosystem | Social Media Challenge

Splinterlands is far more than a game, it is an ecosystem where you can do so much and get involved from so many angles. And one of them is trading DEC in-game currency outside the Splinterlands through the use of specific Cryptocurrency exchanges. This expands what you can do and let's you get more value, let's you trade – sell when the market is bullish and buy when is low for a profit – which is a different game of its own.

The horizons expands with the exchanges which allow trading DEC and we can focus on different things outside playing just the Splinterlands game. Built in time, but with a keen eye to the future and always seeking to bring more options around the game, there are quite a few exchanges that we can dive into. The volume for trading DEC is pretty good and you can get better value for your tokens, just need to analyze each exchange separately.

One of the most important exchange that grow with the game is HIVE-ENGINE which allows you to trade DEC for HIVE as base operation and also to other tokens from there on. The volume here is pretty good with ~ 5 000$ per day. Of course there are peak periods like end of the season when all the players usually rush in to sell the DEC after opening the Loot Chests and getting the rewards. Not a good move in my opinion as that is the time when the price usually decreases.

Another exchange that you can use and which allows you to trade DEC for TRON is the TRONTRADE. While TRON is not my favorite token to hold or trade, you can leverage this exchange sometimes to get a better price. Keeping an eye on it can get you in a win-win situations so for just paying attention for such gaps in the price between exchanges are opportunities worth pursuing.

Next is the possibility of exchanged CARDS (not DEC unfortunately) for ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain where they can be bought and sold on NFT marketplace sites such as OPEN SEA. Even if there aren't big volumes, the auction style for selling is quite interesting. As well you can snap goodies from time to time so you can check it regularly.

What is missing? I think we all know and for sure it will happen in the future – an exchange where you can trade DEC to ETH (ERC-20 smart contract tokens) which for sure will give a boost to the game. Hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later as with it the game can expand and have better exposure.

Leveraging the markets and exchanges and getting the best out of them is something that any player or trader can do to increase their earnings. Having all this options for exchanging DEC out of the game just adds another layer over the game and allow the players do different activities outside the Splinterlands.
