Esta es la historia del tigre palenque un mito que hasta el día de hoy no hemos descubierto, decían mis abuelos que un hombre hacia una oración que le permitía transformase en tigre, pero no un tigre común y corriente, era un hombre humano que adoptaba facciones de una animal, al hacer esto caminaba en dos patas y que sus garras eran tan grandes que podían matar un elefante, muchas veces en el pueblo al escuchar decir ¡anda suelto el tigre palenque! los habitantes se atemorizaban y en las noches ya no se lograba ver a nadie fuera de sus casas, el día de hoy he adaptado esta historia en este cuento que les comparto.

Don Pedro era un hombre muy cariñoso y carismático a quien todos en aquel campo le tenían mucho cariño y respeto y quien era dueño de muchos animales como ovejas y cabras, Don Jacinto al contrario, por circunstancias de la vida que los habitantes de aquel campo desconocían, resulto ser muchas veces un hombre mal humorado, a quien en ocasiones el mal genio lo arropaba por consecuencias de la misma actitud de todos en aquel campo tomaron en contra de él, ya que por alguna razón inexplicable y misteriosa , todos demostraban algún tipo de miedo hacia Don Jacinto.

Se comenta que un día muy temprano Don Jacinto acudió a pastorear sus animales, cuando noto que le faltaba una cabra en su corral, esto le extraño mucho ya que hacían mucho tiempo que no se le desaparecía un animal al hombre, o al menos que él lo notara. Al cabo de varios días Don Jacinto noto nuevamente que ahora le faltaba una oveja, fue entonces cuando decidió ir de visita al resto de las granjas del campo, para así averiguar lo que estaba sucediendo.

Así tal cual, de forma un poco arbitraria un de esas tardes Don Pedro y los demás granjeros se dirigieron a casa de Don Jacinto a reclamar por aquellos acontecimientos, por supuesto al llegar aquella casa no encontraron una respuesta a su reclamo, solo un : ¡Largo todos de mi granja! Por parte de Don Jacinto de una forma muy molesta veía a de forma ilógica que fueran hasta su granja a reclamarle si él no tenía nada que ver con los robos y muertes de los animales.

Así que armaron todo aquello y esperaron al anochecer para capturar aquel bandido, en la noche un grupo de granjeros montaba guardia escondidos, Don Pedro que los acompañaba decidió ir a su cuarto a recostarse un rato.

Al cabo de unos minutos, aquellos granjeros notaron que algo se acercaba al corral, así que guardaron mucho silencio, ya que para ellos ese era el momento de atrapar a Don Jacinto en sus fechorías, aquella cosa poco a poco se iba acercando mas al corral, escucharon todos que algo rugía, rugía muy fuerte, y los animales hacían a la vez mucho ruido porque para ellos, estaban siendo atrapadas por el maleante.

Así Don Pedro fue entregado a las autoridades, y los demás granjeros apenados pidieron disculpas a Don Jacinto, desde entonces todos en aquel campo aprendieron que deben indagar y conocer primero a una persona antes de juzgarla.
