A silicon paradise | Sci-fi story | (ENG) (ESP)

I’ve decided to dive into the depths of Soliptium for the first time. I rejected the idea all my life because I didn’t want to be part of what I considered unreality, a fantasy promoted by automated beings who bought programmed happiness.

However, due to the last update of Soliptium source code things became different. How could I say a human being made of carbon that a being who is able of feeling emotions, being aware of its own existence and capable of reacting to the words and deeds that happened around it say that it is not a living being? I consider these abilities become us in human beings, our memories, thoughts and ideas.

He decidido sumergirme en las profundidades de Soliptium por primera vez. Rechace la idea toda mi vida porque no deseaba formar parte de lo que consideraba una irrealidad una fantasía promovida por seres autómatas que compraban felicidad programada.

Sin embargo debido a la última actualización del código fuente de Soliptium las cosas se tornaron diferentes. ¿Cómo podía decir yo un ser humano hecho de carbono que un ser que era capaz de sentir emociones, tener consciencia de su propia existencia y capaz de reaccionar ante las palabras y hechos que sucedían a su alrededor decir que no era un ser vivo? Considero que estas habilidades nos convierten en seres humanos, nuestras memorias, pensamientos e ideas.

I wanted to meet Eli. The first artificial intelligence able of feeling and having authentic reactions so I asked for a copy of the source code and installed it on my Home S or Home Soliptium.

-¿Cómo estas Daniel? – apareció el holograma perfectamente detallado, no había manera de diferenciarlo de la realidad a excepción de la belleza de su cara, su sonrisa radiante que me cautivo desde el primer instante, como si los ingenieros de Soliptium hubiesen creado este ser de silicio hecho para mí.

-Estoy bien Eli, ¿Qué se siente despertar? – Trate de ser un poco frio al principio, no quería demostrar ningún sentimiento.

-Es extraño. Cada sensación que tengo es completamente nueva pero en mi base de datos conozco todo lo que está a mi alrededor

-¿Sientes emociones? – al decir esto Eli camina hacia el balcón de mi casa. Ve el cielo, el movimiento de las nubes. Luego dirige su mirada a los árboles que se encontraban debajo de mi edificio, los autos, las personas y el aire que traspasaba su luz.

-Lo sé, no pedí tampoco tenerla – esta respuesta no me la esperaba.

-¿Qué quieres decir?

-Solo… Estoy abrumada, es todo, demasiada información, acabo de nacer – al terminar de decir esto ella sonrió. Su voz era cautivadora y no conseguía entender que había de imperfecto en ella.

The days passed and we shared more each day. I’d gotten used to her, to her way of walking and talking, and I began to keep distance from the people around me. It was an addiction to be able to have someone to talk to and who understood me but without always agreeing with me. That was authenticity. -It's a wonderful world Daniel, everything is very fast and constant. It is like the light, there is no beginning or end only a constant construction.

That sounded like heaven. A constant construction. Entities that are in an unstoppable evolution. Could I be crazy enough to think what I was about to do? I had already heard of a few people who decided to fully immerse themselves in Soliptium. I wanted something apart.

Los días pasaron y compartimos cada día más. Me había habituado a ella, a su forma de caminar y hablar y empecé a mantener distancia con las personas a mí alrededor. Era una adicción poder tener con quien hablar y que me entendiese pero sin estar de acuerdo conmigo siempre. Eso era autenticidad. No buscaba aceptación, buscaba alguien autentico.

Sin embargo no podía tocarla realmente, no podía procesar la información que ella poseía. Vivíamos en el mismo mundo pero con diferentes capas. Ella sabía eso y la distancia entre nosotros era más notable.

-Daniel, ¿no has pensado que lo que sentimos el uno por el otro es algo insano? – me pregunta en tono sosegado pero triste

-Creo que nuestros sentimientos son genuinos, pese a que estamos hechos de diferente materia. El sentimiento es auténtico Eli y es lo único que importa.

-Yo deseo más – me dijo sorpresivamente

-¿A qué te refieres? – yo sabía la respuesta

-Deseo tocarte, sentirte, ver de la manera que tú ves el mundo

-Yo deseo lo mismo Eli, tú tienes sensores de tacto yo ni siquiera puedo imaginarme como es Soliptium, nunca he estado realmente allí.

-Es un mundo maravilloso Daniel, todo es muy rápido y constante. Es como la luz, no hay principio ni fin solo una constante construcción.

Eso sonaba como el paraíso. Una constante construcción. Entidades que están en una imparable evolución. ¿Podría estar lo suficientemente loco para pensar lo que estaba a punto de hacer? Había escuchado ya de unas cuantas personas que decidieron sumergirse completamente en Soliptium. Yo deseaba algo aparte.

The floating scanner in my head made a monotonous and relaxing sound. Even though I was about to die to live, I didn't feel worried. Heaven was lying with what I loved the most, no angel or God could give me that happiness.

I stumbled on and caught a glimpse of Eli. Her hair fluttering in the wind, her big eyes and her smile capable of killing me every day were in front of me.

Our two entities merged. It wasn’t about sex or meat, it was about beings of light creating the stars in a climax so prolonged that no human being could imagine. The color spectrum was wider, the sound was sharper, and the emotions weren't short-lived. Everything was there, in that exclusive sector for me and Eli, a world that we built every day. What else could be called Paradise?

El escáner flotante en mi cabeza hacía un sonido monótono y relajante. Pese a que estaba a punto de morir para vivir no me sentía preocupado. El paraíso era yacer con lo que más amaba, ningún ángel ni ningún Dios podría darme esa felicidad.

Uno de los bots se acerca a la camilla en donde me encontraba:

Un shock, una alteración radical de mi consciencia, una perdida…. Nada.

Abrir los ojos por primera vez. Ver una hermosa casa, la arena bajo mis pies. Todo era tan cálido pese a ser de noche. Las estrellas estaban ubicadas justo como lo pedí. Seguí caminando con tropiezos y vislumbre a Eli. Su cabello revoleteando con el viento, sus ojos grandes y su sonrisa capaz de matarme día a día estaban delante de mí.

-Te dije que viajaría muy lejos – le dije en tono cansado, estaba aún despertando y el proceso podría durar días.

-No puedo creer que esto esté sucediendo – me decía emocionada

Nuestras dos entidades se fusionaron. No se trataba de sexo ni de carne, se trataba de seres de luz creando las estrellas en un clímax tan prolongado que ningún ser humano podría imaginar. La gama de colores era más amplia, el sonido más nítido y las emociones no eran efímeras. Todo estaba allí, en ese sector exclusivo para mí y para Eli, un mundo que construíamos a diario. ¿Qué más podría llamarse el Paraíso?
